Some never question the MSM, even tho big brother and big business have poured trillions of dollars into it to promote their interests often at the expense of ours.
Even tho UHNWIs, the richest and most powerful 0.003%, own 10% of the wealth and resources.
They’re the ones with the surplus money to buy up the politicians, and they have.
Even tho Noam Chomsky and his ilk will tell you, they manufacture consent.
The MSM, and academia for that matter, are in large part propaganda outlets.
It’s how in a democracy the PTB swindle us into relinquishing our liberty.
In practice we’re effectively an oligarchy, our democracy is for the most part, ceremonial.
They think like they’re perfectly democratic, meritocratic, empirical and objective structures, and that they have a monopoly on democracy, meritocracy, objectivity and empiricism.
They’re not and they don’t, not even close.
Their worldview is simple, our richest and most powerful institutions are the good guys, everyone who doesn’t kneel before them and grovel at their feet are the bad guys.
For them, there isn’t two or more sides to the story, there’s only ours, no need to listen to anyone else’s.
What they have is faith masquerading as reason, which’s why for them it’s an all or nothing deal.
Either believe everything the establishment says, or believe everything the unestablishment says.
They’re incapable of independent thought or comparing what they’ve been told with everything else they’ve critically experienced and researched.
For them, all unestablishment claims are equal.
1000s, millions of people from all walks of life claiming x pharmaceutical or piece of tech gave them x symptom, a claim (not yet) corroborated by mainline academia, is equivalent to the town drunk claiming he saw Elvis beamed up by a UFO.
For them, all claims uncorroborated by mainline academia are equally invalid, meaningless, they have no means of ranking them outside of what the PTB say.
Only when their faces are being crushed by jackboots, will they understand that it’s up to the public alone to determine who the experts are, if there are any, that we cannot fully, if at all rely on anyone or anything, but by then it’ll be too late for them.
