That… is a fucking cool ass picture! The only problem I have with your “possibility”, is that it doesnt explain why the original cell evolved in the first place. You have to wonder, why does that happen? What makes for the progression?

Indeed…though I assume that it is simply a natural occurance of the universe.
The possiblilty is actually still a good one in my opinion.

However there is the inherent problem…that I use extra-terrestial to describe why life evolved on this planet.
However I assume that life evolved somewhere else in the universe without any help.
This leaves the problem of how did these extra-terrestials get there in the first place?

I suppose that is might be just as probable that we have evolved uneffected by any extra-terrestial life, as I assume it is possible for it to happen naturally. Because the very fact that we exist (if you reject the notion of God) proves that evolution must occur naturally, and without aid from anything else.
If there was no extra-terrestial help then we evolved naturally (which could mean with the help of an asteroid).
And if there was extra-terrestial help then they must have (or their helper) evolved naturally.

We can’t explain it, we can only accept it. Or some of us can’t accept that so they say that it was God.
The last thing that one needs to do is take un-explainable natural phenomena and attribute it to God…thats what they did in the Middle Ages.

Aye, well the Mystery Of Life will always remain a mystery, but I know for sure, that even if Earth was not tampered with by extra-terrestials.
They are out there…

Your right. We dont have any way of explaining these things. But of course, me being human with my damned brain, I like to think about it. Ive kind of adopted an all or nothing theory. I mean, its kind of logical. We live in a Universe with opposites, or at least thats how our minds perceive things. So, based on the proposition that at some point there was a “nothingness” before the universe, then it must also have the properties of an “everythingness” or an “allness” (ignore semantics here). This means that the universe has inherent within itself some type of capability to be infinitely expressed in physical terms. This then, is what could explain the apparently “natural” occurence of evolution. I mean, something has to explain why it happens. It also leaves open the possibility that extra-terrestial life did evolve from some minute organism and have now assisted in our evolution. It all works.

Perhaps Adam and Eve were aliens that crash landed on this planet…
They forgot to bring a bible so they had to teach their kids from memory.

Actually I was wondering what a Christian (such as youself) thinks about extra-terrestial life?
Do you think that there is other life out there?
Or do you not think at all?

If you think that there is life out there, do you think that God created this life as well, or does he choose to govern our planet?

I wanted to ask you because you tend to hold more traditional Christian beliefs and are less open to other interpretations of the Bible.

So…whaddya think?

Not much. I’m not sure why it would be important.

Don’t know. Some form of bacterial like on Mars is possible, but the evidence for water there is inconclusive.

I try to think as often as I can, but I’m losing neurons every day.

If there is proof of life on another planet I would credit God with it’s creation. But I’m not sure why it would be important for a Christian to care too much either way.

But I do think that such questions would be important to Christians, I mean would the rest of God’s creation not interest you?
