<Animosity and hatred arise between human beings because face to face with one another they are seldom conscious that they are in the presence of a spirit, a spark that is seeking to manifest itself and that, in order to help this spirit before them, it is worth their while to be kind, patient and generous.
Given the way they are used to thinking of each other and what they see in each other when they meet, it is inevitable that they end up wanting to get at each others throats.
And even Christians who have, supposedly, placed the love of one’s neighbour as the foundation of their religion, do they not continue to live in hatred and confrontation?
Yes. Why? Precisely because they never seem to see beyond people’s lower nature. If they understood that there was a soul and spirit in them to which they could relate, they would feel obliged to behave differently.

Um, HELLO! you just contradicted yourself on your last statement in regards to this one. You say you hate animosity and then you go out of your way to call me stupid.
The blood of Jesus covers us. When God looks at us, he sees only the blood of his son Jesus. Therefore we are perfect in his eyes. No, I am not saying we do not sin or make mistakes, but as far as the Eyes of God is concerned there is no wrath for us. There is, of course, Judgement, but Judgement for christians is reserved for us at the Bema Seat. Jesus himself somewhat defeated the doctrine of reincarnation at the Cross. “This day, he said to the Thief, you will be with me in Paradise.”
Well it would be stupid to do that. God makes the world , all that effort , only to destroy it all in a fit of rage at humanity , the sun going black , stars falling , huge earthquakes , do you know how big stars are ?
One star would surely kill the earth !
Im sorry but if this is how you think as a christian then it,s unreasonable. And I would bet that you dont have a logical explanation of these passages either which is outwith what I,ve already said.
Im harsh because I dont appreciate people telling me they are christian but then expect me to think like a medieval peasant .
This should help you get started. As for the respect issue, there comes a time in an indivual’s life when they realize they must respect people for who they are, not just pedanticaly picking and choosing someone who fulfills they’re intellectual appetite.
When I said " adequately" explain I meant tell us something other than scaremongering , talk of eternal damnation , having to go to church etc , which nobody wants to hear anymore.
Nothing to do with intellectual stimulation , as I say , I dont like people asking me to think like a medieval peasant , which is what you expect people to do by asking them to believe the absurd interpretations of the church .
Your avoiding answering my questions about St John , and the passages from the bible concerning Jesus saving the woman from being stoned .
Coming from someone who believes if you dont follow christ you are misled. Funny.
Yes but you have,nt given us an adequate explanation of why my interpretation would be wrong .Your saying cabbalah has nothing to do with Jesus or John , where,s the evidence for that ?
Your unreasonable because . as a christian , you say that people who are not christians go to hell . Thats unreasonable . And not what christ preached .
