Not sure involving nations at this point would be good. 99% are not philanthropic. Putting the massive amounts of charity organizations together should work far better. Then the people would not be in debt to a foriegn government.
Material goods have to be truly planned. You give a truck, that truck needs maintained. Not easy or possible in so many areas. That is just one of many examples.
