Must go through with it. Let's say he believed in something beyond himself. Evolution say. Then its a forgone conclusion that he can fight it. With all his mind. That his soul will go to heaven. Because if the soul is the end product of our brief tenure here, then towards the end, its worth to let go, of everything, because maybe there is something else. But, he was always asking for guarantees of one kind of another. Oh, not really an insurance policy as it were, but belief in a primary vision handed down. He was little, and so trusting, a rarity, sweetly believing. And later as the grey clouds set in, he found little solace in those around him. Maybe he got confused, maybe he got sidetracked on roads less traveled. But a promise is a promise, and now he has to be heard, well, if not heard, seen-as a child he shall always remain, who's' being can never be denied.
