Sex outside of marriage?

According to you religion, Does SEX belong in and only in marriage?

If So, Do you dis/agree?

Should there be any exceptions ?
Should this(relgious canon) be an exception to your religion? (biblical bunk?)

ALL comments and thoughts welcomed

well what is marriage? a ring and a nice big party and some reading of bible verses? or a man and a women both argeeing to stay together forever, to never part no matter what,to live life together as one?

I think most religions mean the former. It’s not the ring and the papers and what have you, it’s the commitment that both make. So if two people are having sex and they are willing to have a family together and be one then it’s fine, that would be marrage, but if it’s just “try before you buy” one night and move on then that’s not right at all.

Why not? well one might end up with aids, or 3 or 5 kids that have no father or mother and all kinds of crap will happen.
Close to where I live you hear in the news almost all the time about babys found in dumpsters, there mothers or fathers (mostly mothers) just throw them in there because they can’t take care of them because they have no help from a father or mother, or because they have to many fatherless or motherless kids already. I remeber in school I was the luckest kid because I had both a mother and father who loved each other, most of my friends and class mates didn’t have that.

Well that’s my opinion.

have a look at this:

Marriage was initially developed for the the soul purose of copulation and procreation with no purpose beyond that. In today’s society with the way that marriage has become a union for life and quite frankly more often than not a failed attempt at a life long commitment that has proven with the divorce rate to not last as is meant then why get married and why worry about sex outside of marriage. If one is in “love” with another let them have sex and do so without the requirement of papers and should they choose to spend their lives together again let them do so without having to go to court.

As a never married mother of three children, all to the same man, the first man I slept with, with whom I had a relationship for half of my 50 years, I believe that the piece of paper is just that. It may be true that, for some of us, it takes more commitment to stay in a relationship based on trust than it does to stay in one based on legal or religious obligation. I have no objection to others marrying, but I’ve seen most of the couples whose weddings I attended twenty years ago divorced within the first few years, many because they found monogamy impossible or stifling. Some are still at it - serial brides and grooms whose broken vows (“til death us do part”) demonstrate the difficulty of remaining content to be with one partner for an entire lifetime. Sex outside of marriage is a personal choice, and,as with many choices we make, some will be wise decisions, and some will be unwise. If we wait until we’re married to discover sex, and hope that the person we’ve just vowed to love, honour and cherish is also sexually compatible, we’re taking a big chance on lifelong disappointment.

Sex outside of marriage is okay because is is the universal bonding of a man/woman, woman/woman, or man/man, either way sex is fine outside marriage i have three kids and i am not married yet so that should tell you all something. :exclamation:

Apparently some asian religions ban sex after a certain number of years of being married. That’s why all my asian friends growing up told me their parents had separate bedrooms.

really? that is f@#$ed up :exclamation:

I Am A Cristian Catholic And What I Was Taught Is That sex is only supposed to be preserved for the one you love my reachers never told us oh donmt have sex until your married, because come on what man or woman would want to wait that long? i know I would not be able to do that

No, I was just kidding.

Sex is natural, marriage is not

According to the Bible, Adam and Eve were not married.

I have sex with people who are both married and not married, and to be honest, it feels about the same give or take. I don’t think the deviation between married and unmarried vaginas is as big as that between vaginas that have pumped out babies vs those that haven’t. Now sometimes the Dr. stitches it back up tighter than it was in the 1st place, which can be pretty cool, but that chick in particular wasn’t married, so I dunno. I’m confusing myself here. nevermind.

You have sex with married women?

Sometimes. I broke up w/ my girlfriend a few months ago, and since then I’ve got this one ho from college who’s married and all, but she stops by on sunday mornings before she goes to work, after she leaves the husband then just does me till around 9am then I go back to sleep. It’s great man.

That’s… terrible.

Don’t blame him, blame the married woman. He’s not doing anything wrong. If it wasn’t him, it’d be someone else.

I blame 'em both, it takes two to tango… or commit adultery.

What if both are consenting and informed of the other’s intentions?

It’s called a condom.

If I’m a single dude and a girl comes to my house to get some weed, then has sex with me, then turns around and sets it up as a regular thing, that probably just means her husband isn’t giving her enough attention. I’d blame him.
