It's not about value; It's about what is or is not philosophy.

For example: this is in the 'shit' category, and not really philosophy.

I will admit to being one of the dummies......
Let us start-------
1. How did matter and energy come about?? please define the words how, did, matter, and, energy, come, about.

2. How did life originate???

3. What the fuck is it all about?????

"fuck" is not very nice.
"Special Needs" is funny.

How did life come about? I believe in panspermia, the theory that suggests that the ingredients of life (raw materials) invaded Earth via comets. Crick believed this. The theory accounts for emergent properties that became life as we know it. The primordial "soup: was possibly warm springs at the bottom of the ocean. Therein archaebacteria were spawned. The rest is a matter of evolution.

Great - you think knowledge is a smorgasbord. You pick and choose what pleases you. You ought to be discriminating.
"Belief" is not knowledge. And belief without support is fantasy.

This theory has no value. It no more explains "emergent properties", any more that the theory that life emerged discretely on earth. What make you think the idea that it came from space is any better than it coming from earth?
You just make further problems for yourself, as NOW you also have to account for how life started on a comet.

The science which demonstrates that life started here is pretty much in the bag.

Can you prove that Crick "believed" this? Or is it true that he thought it a possibility like any good scientist?
There is a difference.

Agreed, But the panspermia theory makes sense. Comets have been found to contain oxygen, carbon and other chemicals necessary for living organisms to exist.

It's quite insane. Patients are being given drugs and other drugs to offset the side effects of other drugs.

Relax. All the drugs that people take now are being poohed and peed into the sewer system and they end up in our fresh water supply. Pretty soon everyone will get meds for free just by drinking water from the tap. :D

us dummies need to know....there is a lot of bullshit out there about theism and antitheism...god or no god...
well it is simple...if you talk in terms of a higher power...the higher power is NATURE...we know some about that...
it determines everything...so all this god stuff is just arguing about nothing...nature is where it is at...we are dealing with the nature of things...
