Alternatives create their own pollution. Like I said, you can more or less chart the 20th Century Liberal Death Cycle on Socialism/Environmentalism off of Time Magazine. Our town in Weirton, West Virginia was targeted by the magazine, sometimes on the cover, for decades.
We built the largest steel mill and rail yard on the planet, largest unelected town in the US, closest to communism and fascism in the US experience… big heroes of socialism given the later cooperation of the unions (I may of located some mass graves of early 20th century strikers prior to this era, before they got friendly. Like I said, unelected government).
Then suddenly the left turned, Time started denouncing the town as the most polluted city in America. So what happens? We start putting expensive air scrubbers on everything, change how stuff is done.
Then completely expectantly, cost of the product goes through the roof. Company starts selling assets to float, then once it becomes obvious they are going to jettison operations, the labor unions agrees to take over the company, giving Karl Marx a erection in the grave…largest employee owned business in the US, a model of ecological awareness, Time put us in the top 40 communities in the US to live in.
Obviously, employee owned businesses of that scale collapse quick… it’s why they didn’t exist in the first place, why guilds don’t dominate global economics. After the shift in Liberalism towards Clinton’s WTO, it was all over. India built a replica of our mill. Its all in countries who don’t give a flying fuck about environmentalism, like Brazil or China.
Now… guess what I see daily? Steel mills rotting. Much got torn down, still miles of mill left standing. Segments looking like it did prior to 1907, when it was all orchard fields… the feral trees left on the woodline covered in deep soot survived, creeping back over scrap metal piles and oil slicks. Oh my God, Oil? Yep, same shit they take out of the ground here… life here adapted to it over millions of years, and fauna isn’t allergic to rust either.
Nothing fucking happened. Absolutely nothing. I’ve literally seen the end result of the liberal spasm cycle, bouncing between socialism and environmentalism. Its not compatible, if anything, very allergic to one another and brutally contradicts. Does not get along together in the least except in the minds of modern Marxists who switched from indifference to the environment to radicalized worship of it, after the Soviet Union fell and the reports about their shitty planning process did to the environment.
Its very important to remember, the chemicals put out by industry, most doesn’t rise very high. It comes back down in hours to days. Thats not causing global warming, it’s causing lung disease. Liberals don’t comprehend there is a difference, their cult never explored the minutia. For them, it’s all global warming, only nuclear plants get the cancer stigma… once in a while a chemical plant gets labeled too, but that takes decades, and it’s case by case. Why, I don’t know why, I just observe the phenomena, and scratch my head.
I support the idea of alternative energy, but absolutely not out of environmentalism. I want dependable, flexible energy supplies.
Like, here, our power grid is based out of Detroit, Michigan… I’m on the same network as Mo in Toronto, Canada is on. East Coast is charged more, Midwest slightly less, west coast very high… power is shifted across the country, west coast power produced here. We pay more here so we feel less inclined to use it, so the power company can ship it west and sell it for more. Why? Rember the California Brown Outs? They outstripped and broke their system, refused nuclear power plants… San Francisco his it’s power plants just outside of the view of the city behind the western range if mountains, and slapped some token windmill generators nearby to calm the left…
The power companies charge less for electricity at night, due to lower demand. Peak hours, more. If you get deep cell batteries, in say your garage, and put them in a series, and slap a switch or timer on them, you can take the night time energy at cheaper rates than the daytime, run your frindge and TV off of them. Once you have these deepcell batteries in, you can add a solar panel or two.
Its that simple, done incrementally. Solar cells are like, 50 cents per cell.
But it doesn’t sayve the environment, solar cell companies produce a lot of nasty chemical waste. They last 20 years, then need replaced.
The use of windmills, using our newest deep cell batteries just recently developed, are heavily dependent on lead and Nickle, and don’t last forever. In order to have those mass wind farms, they gotta store the energy in order to be made useful. These batteries will get dumped somewhere eventually.
In England, the emphasis on reusable energies has forced many power plants to chop down forests in the US to burn lumber as fuel. Really fucking primitive and stupid, but it’s the liberal way. In Germany, fear of nuclear power plants and coal, and a obsession with industry, made Germany deeply dependent on Soviet and Russian Federation gas, and expensive, poorly thought out solar systems on a industrial scale. End result? Ukraine was severely fucked over when it started moving towards the EU, and German liberals triumphed… Russia invaded, and Germany shit itself hard, realizing it was very deeply dependent on Putin’s exports, and that their insane energy plan didn’t work. So instead, Ukrainians are killed in their own homeland in the name of European Liberalism. Meanwhile, China is swollen from the industrial waste needed to create Germany’s green revolution.
I severely give a fuck about carbon. Literally do not care. We just started within the last year to learn how to extract carbon from the air to make carbon filaments… I’m like in my early 30s now, when I’m in my sixties I’m going to be hearing about global carbon shortages in the athmisphere, because everyone’s household 3D Printers scrub way too much carbon out of the air, as it was the only resource people knew how to create out if thin air to build things at very low voltages. Why? Cause everyone was scared of carbon emissions in the 20s and 30s when this tech went mainstream across the developed and developing world, and everyone felt they can do with less carbon. I don’t think the plants agree.
Main cause of global warming? Putting official weather stations inside of cities that use black asphalt streets. It raises the city temperature 10 degrees F. Big difference between city and nearby countryside temperatures, and despite their monstrosity, cities only cover a small area of the earth’s surface.
Likewise, hydrocarbons hanging over cities from everyone mowing the grass. Grass release it in the air when injured, hangs over cities. The smog in the US looks different from India and China because they don’t use grass lawns. They have actual industrial pollution. Low lying, you breathe it in. Some goes high, such as sulfur, but the sulfur was accused of actually lowering earths temperature, not raising it, and thus was seen for whatever crazy reason as a good thing.
Honestly, I gives a fuck for the global warming/global cooling/ global climate change rhetoric. They tried brainwashing me as a child with Al Gore and his “Weekly Readers” in first grade, giving us environmental horror stories as children so we could learn how to read, saying it all rested on us.
Looking back in hindsight, I know it’s because they couldn’t convince the educated adults back then, so instead focused on perverting the youth. End result is pogroms against random industries, no clear way forward save everyone becoming Amish, and no evidence that doesn’t contradict other fetished evidence they present anything is occuring. Their favorite it the permafrost in Alaska is gone. I assure you, as of 2008, it was still very much there. I checked, they make you dig holes in Alaska as punishment in the military with a pic ax. You can’t penetrate that damn shit. I was made to fill sandbags, I tricked them by getting a buddy with a truck to come with me to the woods, get some abandoned sandbags already filled and forgotten. I had the proof in the bag, everyone stared at me seeing the plan failed, I played a lot of video games in a friends barracks when they thought I was outside cursing life not making a dent in the soil. That shit is not going away easily, and trying to scare me into thinking it will only makes me laugh, I would like nothing better than it to be so.
We are living in a era where we ate just now putting together rudumentry climate statistics from the 20th century together. Statistics and computer modeling is all over the place, unreliable. We have a generation of atheists treating climate and ecology on a religious basis, and aren’t even aware of this. Its best to just not listen to them, and focus on stopping real pollution, dumping chemicals into the ground water… which really does have a bad effect on life. Look at what Brazil just did to itself, destroying a whole river system. I’m worried about that, not unstoppable climate change that has nothing to do with us. I’ve heard the arguments before, seen what it does, and like Voltaire, mock these end of the world predictions based on unassailable science. God gave us the rainbow as proof, the world isn’t gonna drown. It will be neither Mad Max Desert Oceans, or WaterWorld. They only thing these hijinks accomplish is mass unemployment. They live you, hate you, then love you… until you run out if steam and collapse, then they abandon you for their new fetish. I really feel sorry for California, it’s going to experience this real soon.
