Top Threes

Postby PavlovianModel146 » Sat Sep 12, 2009 12:39 am

In this thread, we'll share our Top 3's for Arts, Music and Entertainment. How this thread works is everyone will answer the category posted before them, and then post a new Top Three category and answer that category. Effectively, every post should contain two categories, except this first post which will only contain one.

Top 3 Female Singers of the '90's:

1.) Dolores O'Riordan (The Cranberries)
2.) Jewel
3.) Shirley Manson (Garbage)

Top three Video games:

1) Final Fantasy 7 (super-dooper 100 hours of marriage threatening activity)
2) GTA3 (You big, dumb Yankee-boy)
3) Neverwinter Nights (liked it so much I spent 3 years creating pornographic modules for it)

Top three things to do in the classroom:

1) Swearing heavily in obscure English whilst maintaining an angelic face.
2) Bludgeoning D students in debates by merciless exploitation of their ineptitude in grammar.
3) Asking very silly questions during oral exams. Then laughing hysterically at inappropriate moments.

No, your's was "Singers," mine was "Songwriters." I wanted to make the distinction - some good singers couldn't write a song if their lives depended on it. And vice versa. ::coughhackBobDylancoughcough ::

[I tend to have greater admiration for good songwriters.]

edit: Congrats on the new job - that new home is just around the corner, so to speak. =D> :) =D>

Tab:
3) Asking very silly questions during oral exams. Then laughing hysterically at inappropriate moments.
   that was very funny. you obviously did a public service here Tab...this kind of an ambience in a classroom during an oral exam and this kind of explosion - laughing - must have created a completely stress free environment. Way to go.

were you sent to stand outside in the hallway facing the wall? i bet the teacher felt like shooting you. i did that for a while in French class (but not during an oral exam) until the teacher threatened to fail me  - and i was great in French.then i created the best map of France and she loved me - as she was from France. suddenly i could do no wrong. it didn't take much. we called her "mumbles" because she spoke from behind her teeth - -well with her teeth closed. i don't know how she did it.    and so i settled down. and became a conformist. some of my happier moments were in french class. go figure. :-k
A fragrant breeze wandered up from the quiet sea, trailed along the beach, and drifted back to the sea again, wondering where to go next. On a mad impulse it went up to the beach again.

It drifted back to sea.”
