best music or video you have ever seen abd why?

Big fan of Creedence Clearwater revival, you’re absolutely right, Mr Kebop simple music, nice ideas get me some.

Probably unusual for an Englishman to know of them, but my mum had a best of Credence album, and it was something that really inspired me music wise in my childhood.

Linking the video.

Absolutely awesome.

Surely it’s just some rude prick knocking people off the pavement, and walking over a car.
In reality he’d not have made it 10yards in a real town.

The refrain is uplifting and resonant, though very repetitive.

Not quite it’s actually a very clever allegory of how his life has worked out, so it is not real in as much as anyone could walk down a street like that. It seems like he is a prick, but if you watch carefully he’s explaining how he learnt not to be a prick. That street is not him walking down a real street it’s him struggling with life.

Welcome to the thread Hobbes, I am sure you have some great videos to contribute, look forward to it.

I’ve not seen the thread throughout - has anyone offered this one?

Or this?

All done before modern CG sterilised the art.

Then there’s this.

Much copied …

Nope and none of those.

Well Pater Gabriel’s sledgehammer is a land mark in video, ok it looks a little trite now but the first time I saw it, I Was amazed.

Zappa, well he can do no wrong in my opinion even when he’s waxing lyrical about his odd sexual feelings.

I think Godley and Creme’s video is something I have to watch over and over again, sure that face morphing thing has got old now, but those lyrics and their songs are timeless. 10cc broke up, sadly, they were all just brilliant song writers all.

Nice videos.

Possibly one of the best rock songs ever.

How come Phil’s legs never broke for being so thin?

Tin Lizzy man, we have the same musical taste. The boys are back in town.

Possibly my favorite Zappa song is this one.

Great guitar work, instrumentation and crazy lyrics.

Did a vehicle
Come from somewhere out there
Just to land in the andes?
Was it round
And did it have
A motor
Or was it
Something
Different

Did a vehicle
Did a vehicle
Did a vehicle
Fly along the mountains
And find a place to park itself

Or did someone
Build a place
To leave a space
For such a vehicle to land

Did a vehicle
Come from somewhere out there
Did a vehicle
Come from somewhere out there
Did the indians, first on the bill
Carve up the hill

Did a booger-bear
Come from somewhere out there
Just to land in the andes?
Was she round
And did she have a motor
Or was she something different

Guacamole queen
Guacamole queen
Guacamole queen
Guacamole queen
At the armadillo in austin texas, her aura,
Or did someone build a place
Or leave a space for chester’s thing to land
(chester’s thing… on ruth)
Did a booger-beer
Come from somewhere out there
Did a booger-bear
Come from somewhere out there
Did the indians, first on the bill
Carve up her hill
On ruth
On ruth
That’s ruth

Now here we have a complete departure from the simple concepts of Creedence Clearwater’s video…but yet again I am faced with the question, is THIS the greatest music video of all time? For completely different reasons, yes, it could very well be.

Why you ask? for teh lulz, of course

I suppose you have to like cats.

let’s face it guys anything with cats in it on the internet is win. If Creedence Clearwater would of done Bad Moon Rising with cats in it they would of ruled the world.

It’s not Take That it’s this video, it’s so weirdly creepy and odd. Not the best video of all time, but it does make you think who the hell made this video and what was he or she thinking and can I marry her before she throws me off a cliff?

And in the same vain Mystery:

Mr Hugh Laurie has decided to embarrass us all with a song of his own composing:

It’s a mystery…

This is one of my favourite songs of all time, but this film is also one of my favourites so, let’s combine:

And of course the most beautiful and poignant harmonica music ever.

Probably one of my most favourite musical scores of all time. Friendship has never been so beautifully encompassed by a musical score.

I love this video and it’s not just because I want Vanessa Carlton in a sexual way, it’s because it’s very cleverly done and sort of speaks the music well across a broad landscape of music…

and because I want her in a sexual way.

So talented though and so clever this video. It’s unusual these days.

I do like this video:

Hallelujah.

“indeed but in the morning I will be sober, whilst you my dear unfortunately will still be ugly!”

The best music video?

and why?

Through this atavistic expression of aural and visual sensorium one can perceive the perspicuous nexus of this phenomena which could be considered a transeunt causation but for the a fortiori that’s not necessarily apodictic. Others have suggested it’s an attempt at the illata arising from modus ponens but with the consideration of a ratiocination of a perspicacious mind it exposes reification of the normative polemic of the era; mutatis mutandis not withstanding.
