Well, Mr Bowie has put out a single for his 25th album: Black Star. The remains of Major Tom seemed have been found; his body released into space and his bejeweled skull taken to be worshiped by the women. A blind man with button eyes is telling us what he sees then, what seems to be the same man without the blind fold, sings “…on the day he died somebody else took his place and cried ‘I’m a black star’…I can’t answer why but I can tell you how. We were born upside down or the wrong way 'round.”

Three crucified scarecrows are being watched by grotesque figures on the edge of the field. The ritual goes on - the blind man convulses; the crucified scarecrows writhe in pain. Another soul is about to be released.

That video has a half naked woman with a machine gun hitting golf balls while 2 guys eat donuts at a table behind her. I think that qualifies it as one of the greatest videos of all time.

I have a friend who’s a 4th grade teacher with fake boobs who went to a catholic university and got a degree in some kind of religious studies, and if you gave her a bottle of wine or so, she would rap that song…particularly the part where he says, 10s 10s 10s 20s on yo titties bitch. Good times.
