The quality of Total Recall 2012

I’ve recently rewatched the Total Recall remake, and honestly think it’s something of a masterpiece; the tone and visuals are great, as are all of the cast.
However, there’s one scene that sticks out for me, and in a way that’s a bit frustrating:

Lori Quaid needs the tracking device that Carl Hauser just discarded, but ends up having to attack a relative youth; it might just be me, but rewatching the movie this scene feels a bit awkward. But other than that the whole movie is brilliant.
What’s your opinion of the film?

Thanks for the link. I think Total Recall 2012 is better than the 80’s film, because despite still casting famous actors in the parts, the remake feels much more like a story first, then actors vehicle second (whereas with the previous film the reverse is arguably the case).
Colin Farrell is a much more appropriate casting choice than Schwarzenegger, and I really like what Kate Beckinsale did with Sharon Stone’s part.

Do you prefer the remake?
