Race-Realism = The Truth

I know this forum doesn’t take too kindly to the position of race-realism, but I’d like to debate it with you guys here.

So the contrary position " Race-egalitariansim " holds that all races are equal, that they posses the same genetic potential for intelligence as every other race, but that environmental/cultural factors can either increase it, or decrease it.

I’d like to see some arguments for Race-egalitarianism.

I’m going to sleep soon, but I’ll say this.

For every race I’ve encountered, I’ve met very intelligent and competent members of that race, therefore, I believe race does not itself restrict a person from greatness.

I’d like to see some arguments for “race-realism,” that don’t come down to environmental/cultural factors.

People are the same all over. Skin color is a small chromosome and does in influence enough other factors to be a precursor for intelligence. Every “group” has smart people, every group has stupid people, every group has ass hats that think skin color matters…

Why? Will those arguments alter how you treat a person of a specific race? Will you treat him as someone having the characteristics of his race instead of his own unique characteristics?

Any race can be reduced into being just as dumb as the lowest, thus “they are equal” (after we get through with them).

Race is more than skin color. If race was , merely, about skin color, then my race would change when I get tan when visiting Mexico. " People are the same all over " ? How so? Explicate.

In general, whites are more intelligent than blacks. Just because there are exceptions, that doesn’t erase the generality that, on average, white people are more intelligent than blacks.

Nor does your argument refute the racial-realist position of varying genetic potentials.

Potentially a black could be the most intelligent person in the world.

Yes, this is possible. But we’re not, really, discussing anomalies now are we?

Take a simplified model of the world and history. There are only three continents that once were narrowly connected by ice bridges. On one of the continents hominids evolved to be basically fully human. In time that continent became inhospitable and humans migrated to the other two continents. Later the ice bridges melted and the humans on the two remaining hospitable continents where left separate for 100,000 years.

The question so far is, would there be a fundamental genetic differences between humans from the two continents, that not only manifests themselves through appearance, but also behavior?

Anomalies???

Do you understand how an average is calculated?

Do you understand the normal distribution curve for IQ?

Do you understand what ‘potential’ means in terms of statistics and averages?

Obviously not.

There is a potential for an individual to be born anywhere on the full scale of IQ. There is a lower probability that he/she will be on the lower and upper ends of the scale.

So the whole debate about how we measure intelligence is resolved? When did they do that??

You call it an anomaly, most people would call it an individual. There’s a big problem in the way some people reason where they conclude things about individuals by referencing a group that the individual belongs to and assuming that’s just that without actually bridging that gap in a substantive way.

The answer is those differences if they exist don’t matter. Because every group has good and bad, all the good should comprise one group and the bad another. As long as we identify with nation, religion, race, tribe, even family, instead of our strata of moral wisdom, we will always be held back by the koba.

Simple example:
There are two math classes in a school, each with 25 students. All the students write the same test and the results are that the average mark in class A is 75 out of 100 and in class B the average is 60 out of 100.
Joe Blow is in class B. What was his mark on the test? How good is he at math?

You have not idea. right?

Let’s carry this farther. If Joe’s sister was to write the same test, what would her mark be?

Makes no sense, right?

Should Joe and/or his sister be accepted into a university based on these class averages?

Take the two races (to simplify let’s not speculate which just yet) whose average difference between intelligence, based on IQ and whatever other standards, varies the most. If we take it for granted that given similar backgrounds that the difference intelligence is too small on average to justify making any conclusion of an individual based on race alone, then would it still not be worth performing and publicizing many studies related to the divergence of intelligence and any other behavioral traits among the two races (with environment of course given careful consideration)?

Or studies aside is it not worth at least openly admitting to the fact that where human populations have diverged long enough that along with difference in appearance average behavioral traits will vary, in some ways, whatever they may be?

lol he starts off this thread by making a broad statement about “this forum” as though we’re all in agreement and on some political kick as a team. Phyllo, some people just don’t think right. It’s just that simple.

Chances are he’s not as good as any randomly chosen person in class A. In fact, from that information alone, if the question was made in an appropriate context, I wouldn’t hesitate to generalize by saying he’s more likely than not, not very good at math.

If it was a forum rather than a class and rather than a direct exam on math it was a less formal test on understanding race realism, my above logic would be the same.

Agreed, it is also culture and environment.

I am a social chameleon of sorts, I’m very good at going into area’s were a nerdy white conservative shouldn’t be able to go and not have a problem. The key is to stick out like a sore thumb, and act like you belong. Anyway, Black, White, Mexican, Conservative, Liberal, Jewish, etc and the one thing I’ve learned doing it, is that they are all they same. They have groups they make fun of, they like their own, and as long as you don’t try to tell them what to do, they are cool with you. People are the same all over the world, except they have little things they do differently. Even the exceptions of super strange (from my western thinking) philosophical differences, such as people from the orient, which have more of a circular view of things are still just people. They are all the same in interactive situations. They all have ass holes no one really likes, they all have crazy fuckers you should stay away from, etc.

Chances are that if you just play the pass like, the 6 and the 8 that you’ll make money in craps. Now head out to the casino and tell me how it actually works when you apply this principle in a practical setting.
