Sexism dispute at work

Well, the hay fever has mostly gone (see my previous thread) but I’ve stumbled back into a major dispute at work, which has been rumbling on and off for a long time. The company that runs the club I work for is classed as a care company so is exempt from sex discrimination regulations, allowing it to mostly employ women (presumably on the rationale that elderly people will only usually accept female care assistants). But it rents a sports pitch from the leisure centre, who are insisting that we drop this policy.

i mean when you’re eighty years old it shouldn’t matter who gives you your vitamins and a sponge bath, should it? it’s not like a guy is gonna try to cop a feel on ya; you’re eighty years old! he’d just as well ask an old wool coat out on a date and get the same action.

i fully support policy that will allow male’s to be employed in the care-taker industry.
