Silent night

Silent night
Holy night -
observantly waiting
becoming empty of expectations
allowing oneself be deeply filled
with the connecting breath of God

Silent night
Holy night -
observantly permitting
the responsiveness of God
into the darkness of my doubt
into an attentive compassion with all creatures
into an amazement at the starry sky
into the sharing of bread and roses

Silent night
Holy night -
simply being there
attentively expecting
so that everything can happen
for the incarnation of God today

Pierre Stutz
(my translation)

There is a silence you must become immersed in if you truly want to hear annything.

I’m not overly religious… but I liked the poem.

wonderful.

it doesn’t work if you sing it though
