What it means to be a Yogi

So, yoga is a big cultural concept, that some people have divided it into its parts.

I'm tempted to categorize my path as similar to yoga.
But it's very personalized, customized, etc. So that word may not mean what I mean.
What about you all? Who here admires yoga?

I have a great respect for Yoga and practice yoga [not seriously and deeply] in its various aspects.

That word [yoga] you meant may not mean what I mean.
So it is matter of context and used as an when necessary.

Thus if one follow a teacher of a certain Hinduism school which emphasize the term, then one could recognize one's teacher as a revered 'yogi' of some reputation and lineage.

If I practice yoga, I am also a 'yogi' but not comparable to a 'yogi' who is a reputable teacher. Whilst semantically and technically possible, often most lay practitioners of yoga humbly do not identify themselves as a 'yogi' which is generally reserved for a reputable teacher.
I am a progressive human being, a World Citizen, NOT-a-theist and not religious.
