Should a good Christian overthrown God?

“We Will Follow You Only” (Chosŏn’gŭl: 우리는 당신밖에 모른다) is a North Korean hymn dedicated to the country’s leader Kim Jong-un. The song was first released on the Korean Central Television in 2013, every North Korean has to sing it.

Here is the lyric:

To be honest, North Korean has the best religious music.

If you replace the word ‘Kim Jong Un’ with the word ‘father’, then this song will be a very good Christian song both in its melody and its lyrics.

Follow this logic, Is God the geatest dictator?

According to the Old Testment, he is, therefore a good Christian should overthrown him;

Any Christian who refuse to overthrown God is not a good Christian;

if a Christian can not overthrown God, at least he should flee from God and refuse to obey him as many people in North Korea has done :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Is there any Christian here that can defeat my arguement? :sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

First off, it may be either “should dethrone” or “should overthrow”.
Is English your second language?
What God are you discussing here?
You won’t find many Christians in the religious forum.

Yes, a good Christian would take the judgement seat at God right hand and replace God as judge of mankind.

That is what Jesus did and what all good Christians should do.

Unfortunately, it seems that the only good Christians are Gnostic Christians as we seem to be the only type of Christian to follow what Jesus tells us to do in scriptures.

Matthew 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

That good news is what frees us from religious dogma and traditions but most Christians wish to be slaves to their God instead of his master the way Karaite Jews and Gnostic Christians strive to be.

Philosopher Allan Watts recognized the truth of the good news.

True, they tend to run from intelligent discourse, but if you are to correct our friends grammar, you should at least opine on his question.

True. I should have abstained from commenting in an all too religious bashing forum. Bye, from one “who tends to run from intelligent discourse”.

The bashing would be okay if it was intelligent bashing. :evilfun:

Can a mind who believes in talking serpents and donkeys and who adores a genocidal son murdering prick of a God recognize intelligent thought?

I doubt it.

That’s a stereotype which you seem to like. #-o

They are what they are.

I would not say I like them.

I would say I fell sorry for such minds. They are a disgrace to the human race.

Perhaps my farewell was premature. It seems all too convenient that a thread that appears as an attack on a certain type of Christian fundamentalism should advocate GIA’s version of Gnosticism. It seemed inconvenient for AUOS to explain to us–

  1. Who is this enthroned deity, and how did he become enthroned?
  2. How or in what way is this ruling deity anything like Kim Jong Un?
3, How is this deity in any way responsible for what his followers do or say?

God is the worlds most brutal terrorist, and the world’s most fearsome dictator.

God is so savage he makes Osama Bin Laden look like a goodie-two shoes.

He talks about Christians but his only reference is to the Old Testament. You know that’s a routine atheist attack.

What God do you have in mind?
Should be world’s both times used. :stuck_out_tongue:

The human mind is the world’s most brutal terrorist and the world’s most fearsome dictator. The mind is also our last, best hope to save ourselves from ourselves.

Our own minds are our last, best hope for peace. And the greatest instigator of war.

Amen!

What is a AUOS?

Who said there was an enthroned deity?

Indeed. If real, he would be condemned by all moral people.

Strange how such a God can be adored by so many who do not seem to have a moral sense.

Perhaps that is why whenever I try to get theists to look at Yahweh’s morals, they always run away singing —

Untrue.

Jesus’ substitutionary atonement and no divorce for women policies are quite immoral as well.

Care to engage in a discussion on the lack of morality in religious moral tenets?

No moral system is going to please everyone. There will always be somebody who says that it ought to be different. It’s not limited to the moral systems described by religions.
