Ladies and Gentlemen,
We've recently had a Topic created within Social Sciences advocating pedophilia. That topic has been moved to Quarantine where it will remain unless another Moderator sees fit to move it somewhere else. I will mention that the thread contains items which will henceforth be considered Warnable/Bannable within the Forums of Social Sciences and Current Events.
At the same time, a Philosophy Forum is about open discussion, even including matters that are considered taboo or socially/morally unacceptable.
It is with that in mind that I'm going to lay down some ground rules for discussions of that nature which would generally take place either in Social Sciences or Psychology. I have no control over Psychology, so consider these rules applicable only to Social Sciences unless MagsJ states that she would like to apply them to Psychology.
I will permit threads of this nature to exist within the Social Sciences Forum provided that they adhere to all Board Rules as well as a few additional Rules that I will now detail:
1.) Any such threads will not be designed to advocate the subject matter to any extent greater than discussing the perceived morality/immorality/political positions of such actions.
2.) Any such threads will be text-only, there will be no links and no pictures of any kind whastoever, whether related or unrelated to the subject matter.
3.) Any such threads will not contain sexually explicit or suggestive dialogue with respect to the subject matter.
*Any violations of Rules 1 & 3 will result in an unappealable Warning being issued and subsequent deletion of your post. I will not Edit, I will delete.
** If you violate Rule 2, I will ban you immediately. Do not test me on it.
If you have any questions/comments concerning this thread, please post them directly to this thread, not in Help & Suggestions. For the time being, these rules apply only to my Forums including Social Sciences, Current Events, Creative Writing and Arts, Music & Entertainment.
