Humanities Course Please Help!

Postby kallee525 » Fri Oct 07, 2011 3:33 am

How does the ideal of the heroic citizenship change from the Greek mythopoetic tradition through the emergence of Greek tragic drama to the late stoicism of roman imperialism?  What elements remain the same in the development of the ideal, and what elements undergo alteration or adaptation?

Layman's Terms.... Please

Postby jamia30 » Sun Oct 09, 2011 11:04 pm

I have a paper to write about: How does the ideal of heroic citizenship change from the Greek mythopoetic tradition through the emergence of Greek tragic drama to the late Stoicism of Roman imperialism? What elements remain the same in this development of the ideal, and what elements undergo alteration or adaptation? What, in the end, is the essence of the heroic ideal?

Can someone please explain? I've tried reading the books assigned in this course and cliff notes.

Thank You,

Jamia

We're not supposed to help people with homework. Precisely because of situations like this. I tried to give you a nice framework that would have required twenty minutes of googling and you'd have had a decent (if somewhat mundane) thesis to work with.

If you aren't looking for a thesis that needs fleshing out, what are you looking for? Information? Timelines? What?

What didn't you understand?

Point being, the references you've tried reading should contain all the information you need. What is it you're missing?

Sorry if there's any confusion - this thread is two similar topics, merged.
