Top Fives

Favourite action movie one-liners:

1.) “Draw.” Kurt Russell-“Escape From L.A.”

-In the scene Snake Plissken (Russell) is surrounded by four guys armed to the teeth. He raises his hand and picks up a pop can saying, “What do you say we play a little, ‘Bangkok Rules,’ nobody draws 'til this can hits the ground.” Russell then throws the can high into the air, and as the four guys are staring up at the can, he blows them all to Hell. A second later, the can hits the ground and Russell says, “Draw.”

2.) “Yippeee-Kiyaayyyy, motherfucker!” Bruce Willis-“Die Hard”

3.) “Go fuck yourself.” Last words of Neal McDonough’s character in, “The Hitcher.” This is technically a horror movie, sorry.

4.) “You missed. (Picks up the Uzi and shoots the gang members’ car) I missed too. (Shoots the gang member in the ankle) You see, that’s the concept. Take some shooting lessons, asshole.” Michael Douglas-“Falling Down.”

I consider that a one-liner as it is unbroken dialogue.

5.) “Sounds like you’ve had a hard life. Good thing it’s over.” Steve Austin-“The Condemned”

5-Tom Hanks in Road to Perdition

Just looking for a movie, I’ve seen As Good as it Gets, but not in ages, I remember really liking it so thanks for the reminder Ed.

Blue Velvet is a great movie, disturbing but if you can watch it to the end, it is well worth the effort. That sex scene still haunts me, you know what I mean.

5 worst actors

  1. Tommy Wiseau

  3. Brendan Fraser
  4. Ashton Kutcher
  5. Nicolas Cage

Where did you get “Ed”?

Yes, the sex scene did have a twisted kind of Freudian edge that momentarily intensified the general luridness of Lynch’s style that reminds me of a David Salle painting.

Lysdexia probably…?

Apologies.

I thought Ashton Kutcher was fine in The Butterfly Effect.

Top 5 Colognes/Perfumes (That you, personally, wear)

1.) Davidoff’s Cool Water
2.) English Leather
3.) Stetson
4.) Drakkar Noir
5.) Acqua Di Gio-Georgio Armani

Side Note:

The English Leather by MEM would be #1, the one made by DANA is #2, so I just put it at #2 because I can’t find the original E.L. anymore.

Great film.

stoic, you’re doing it wrong.

True but listing colognes you would wear is a little gay tbh.

I wear man sweat for men, real men, who are athletic, good at charming the ladies and one hell of a lover. And in no way is it pretentious or expensive, like most colognes.

No offence Pav, I’m sure you bat for the correct team, and have the right uniform for a womans’ man etc… did anyone see those Nicks, et al?

On a side note Ashton Kutcher can’t act like Keanu Reaves. Still if acting depended on being good at it, a lot of careers would never of happened. Perhaps they show us how it shouldn’t be done, so that when it is done well, we know the difference. Richard Gere is also not great, I think looks are just as important as acting to the general public, who after all decide what movies succeed.

I don’t really use cologne so yeah pretty much what Calrid said though I do use Deoderant sometimes.

No offense taken, and I am straight, but we’ve already had most visited websites. I just did cologne because I couldn’t think of anything at the moment. Would anyone like to start a new Top 5 list and we’ll just start over.
