Dying. - Dying isn’t usually an activity it occurs for external reasons. Unless it’s suicide. people commit suicide to seek to avoid pain as this is necessary to seek pleasure. Or sometimes to please an imaginary superior being which is also a way of seeking pleasure.
Most peoples jobs. - People always do their jobs because they seek pleasure. Remember I wrote seek pleasure. That doesn’t necessarily mean they find pleasure. Most people hate their jobs. But the painful existence of doing their job is less painful than the painful existence they anticipate if they quit.
Paying taxes. - Again, people find paying taxes painful, but less painful than going to prison for tax evasion.
Being shot at or blown up because your government does not like the turban wearing infidels. - Being shot at or blown up is not an activity. The shooter is active, the victim is passive.
Marrying Paris Hilton, no amount of money could make that worthwhile. - that’s just your personal opinion. Personally I’d marry her in a second. That would give me the money I need to give myself political power.
Punching a wall in frustration. - That’s a pleasure seeking activity. The wall puncher is unlikely to find pleasure through punching a wall, but he seeks it.
Eating liver when you know you hate it, because someone spent years slaving over a hot stove, even though you know they’ll still hate you. - pleasure seeking.
Taking a football in the balls as a test of manhood. - pleasure seeking. Guys will do a lot of things to try and impress the girls and gain sexual access to their orifices.
Many things that lead nowhere and are stupid that you seemingly have a knack of doing in your idiot life. - pleasure seeking.
Bullying people, because you have issues that you can’t resolve. - pleasure seeking. I’ve seen people take intense pleasure in bullying others.
I’m not going to continue because your point was senseless. We don’t always do that which we want to or that which would give us much pleasure or result in a goal that is more pleasurable. To say otherwise is to have never lived and to assume our id knows what is good for us. - We’re all pleasure seeking beings, we’re just not very good at it.
