Overboard with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell? Meh…not that good.

Now, Leaving Las Vegas with Nick Cage…that’s a true love story.

Saw [i]Nobody Wants the Night/i recently. Not bad. Supposedly, she was the first civilized woman at the North Pole. Kudos to her.

The Main Event

Black Snake Moan.

The Sandpiper (1965)

I wasn’t really expecting to watch this or like it. But I did and it was good. I wanted to post a quote, but I couldn’t decide which one, and that is probably all for the best anyway because the dialogue is pretty solid throughout and I’d rather not promote any preconceptions of the movie.

An Officer And A Gentleman

s57,

My #9~so we’re in agreement then?

Misery

Looks like he’s pulling a Donald Trump on her!

Because of his left hand in the lower part of the picture?

Yeah

The Princess Bride

Not a bad movie, but a good romance? It’s so childish and fairytale-esque.

Taxi Driver

It’s the pirate’s endeavor to save Buttercup and be with her no matter the cost. His love for her helps him defy death…that’s romance.

I never understood why people loved that movie so much. I think it’s because I saw it for the first time when I was in college. I dunno, I guess I had a hard time appreciating all of its silliness.

Princess Bride does have Many Patinkin in it, though. He stars in the show Homeland, which is an awesome show.
