Egypt Underground

The clouds of smoke hanging in the basement air belied a sordid atmosphere to the four young college kids relaxing on the long L shaped sofa. An ornate Chinese pipe passed regularly from one to the next, sleepily lit by each one in turn. Housecats milled around waiting to be fed. Then they spoke:
'We are divine! Bow to us or you will perish!'
The kids blinked. These cats weren't just talking, they were making demands. But it sounded cool, so they continued to listen. The cats gave them a dozen names, people to be killed, no questions asked and the kids knew; they knew they had no choice. From now on these cats were in charge.

Earning the glory of a drug-dealer, how colonial.
Drugs are bad.

I am your Egyptian God
The King of the sands and all forgot
Resting in the House of Ra
Ammon makes his brave descent
Anubis coming down the hall
collision of the ancient worlds
Egypt come to life
When the stars shine bright in the night sky
and pyramids create a mystic design
10,000 plus years since the dynasty of the Gods
their ancient temples shall rise out of the sands
and cast light on Egyptian culture yet again
Ra, Anubis, come
Isis and Osiris
Come to me Amon Ra
Come to me Ammon and Anubis
Fall from the sky into your landbound temples
Cast and etched deep in the shadows of the land of the eternal sun
I am your Egyptian God of Gods
Touten Ramas, the king of all below and above
Beyond the sun
Legends untold
not written down
from the days when it was forbidden to write
when it was forbidden to teach
of the ancient one that gave birth to all others
Come together and give birth to your father once more
and awaken the sleeping giant
Ramses the immortal king of the damned
wandering dead through the sunlit lands
Touten Ramas has come at last
Newborn but ancient
and telling the world and eternity to kiss his ass
Live your lies of pleasure
pretend that you're not
And love the addictions of men and women
while pretending that you're above them
The son has surpassed the father
And even Adamu Annunaki has been promoted from first watcher
to realizing just how ignorant he and his lot have been
Live sweetly in your delusions
Here I come again
Time for the ancient temples to rise out of the sands
And cast light on Egyptian culture and the blight of man
Are we gonna fight or are you planning on boring me to death?

Joseph Joubert ~~

It is better to debate a question without settling it than to settle a question without debating it.

The aim of an argument or discussion should not be victory but progress.

“We love repose of mind so well, that we are arrested by anything which has even the appearance of truth; and so we fall asleep on clouds.”

You have to be like the pebble in the stream, keeping the grain and rolling along without being dissolved or dissolving anything else.
