1.4 Billion Racists

Ishaq:243 “I heard the Apostle say: ‘Whoever wants to see Satan should look at Nabtal!’ He was a black man with long flowing hair, inflamed eyes, and dark ruddy cheeks…. Allah sent down concerning him: ‘To those who annoy the Prophet there is a painful doom.” [9:61] “Gabriel came to Muhammad and said, ‘If a black man comes to you his heart is more gross than a donkey’s.’”
Ishaq:144 “A rock was put on a slave’s chest. When Abu Bakr complained, they said, ‘You are the one who corrupted him, so save him from his plight.’ I will do so,’ said Bakr. ‘I have a black slave, tougher and stronger than Bilal, who is a heathen. I will exchange him. The transaction was carried out.”
Qur’an 9:97 “The Arabs of the desert are the worst in unbelief and hypocrisy, and most fitted to be in ignorance of the command which Allah hath sent down to His Messenger.”
Tabari II:11 “Shem, the son of Noah was the father of the Arabs, the Persians, and the Greeks; Ham was the father of the Black Africans; and Japheth was the father of the Turks and of Gog and Magog who were cousins of the Turks. Noah prayed that the prophets and apostles would be descended from Shem and kings would be from Japheth. He prayed that the African’s color would change so that their descendants would be slaves to the Arabs and Turks.”
Tabari II:21 “Ham [Africans] begat all those who are black and curly-haired, while Japheth [Turks] begat all those who are full-faced with small eyes, and Shem [Arabs] begat everyone who is handsome of face with beautiful hair. Noah prayed that the hair of Ham’s descendants would not grow beyond their ears, and that whenever his descendants met Shem’s, the latter would enslave them.”
Tabari IX:69 “Arabs are the most noble people in lineage, the most prominent, and the best in deeds. We were the first to respond to the call of the Prophet. We are Allah’s helpers and the viziers of His Messenger. We fight people until they believe in Allah. He who believes in Allah and His Messenger has protected his life and possessions from us. As for one who disbelieves, we will fight him forever in Allah’s Cause. Killing him is a small matter to us.”
Bukhari: V9B89N256 “Allah’s Apostle said, ‘You should listen to and obey your ruler even if he is a black African slave whose head looks like a raisin.’”
Ishaq:405 “It is your folly to fight the Apostle, for Allah’s army is bound to disgrace you. We brought them to the pit. Hell was their meeting place. We collected them there, black slaves, men of no descent.
Ishaq:374 “The black troops and slaves of the Meccans cried out and the Muslims replied, ‘Allah destroy your sight, you impious rascals.’”
Bukhari:V4B52N137 “The Prophet said, ‘Let the negro slave of Dinar perish. And if he is pierced with a thorn, let him not find anyone to take it out for him… If he [the black slave] asks for anything it shall not be granted, and if he needs intercession [to get into paradise], his intercession will be denied.’”

In the Talmud there are certain laws that would be considered racist, but it doesnt mean that Jews still practice them.

Your claim is that every muslim is a racist because of those quotes. That’s completely absurd and you know it, so what are you really trying to say?

What concordant is trying to do is start a problem so people get mad at him/her (i don’t kow which) and they feed of of this anger and it makes them feel good about themselves.

yeah I think DID’s blog cullings have allready been suitably critiqued here as the tepid flecks of foam of the lip of a neo-conservative bore with way to much time on his/her hands and way too much pent up tension…

why am I even replying to this… shit… whatever

Actually Derrida is dead just gets on my nerves, and so I ask, was it I that was trying to start a problem or was it him. If I am guilty of anything it is of questioning his motives, and actually posting. But that’s exactly the problem, because in a way his approach needs to be taken seriously, for his hate mongering is the equivalent of the vehemance of the other extreme, which hypocritically are the people he so loudly rallies against “Anyone that is not with me is against me.” It’s the easiest thing in the world to draw a line, and proclaim with broad generalisations that anyone who disagrees with my opinions is my enemy. Or in this case, anyone who believes in Islam is a racist.

Also since my first post in this thread I have done a little research and discovered my comment about the Talmud to be mislead and uninformed. I no longer know if what I originally wrote is true, that is about the Talmud having racist passages.

All I did is quote Quran and Hadith. I agree that Mohammed was the greatest hate monger who ever walked the face of the Earth.

One thing I find funny about Mohammed is that if you look at early passages of the Qu’ran and compare them to the latter, you find the man trying to set up a new religion through peace, but when peaceful relations and negotiations fail, he starts to use force and sees it as the only way.

And to conquer the greatest hate-mongerers, we have to be the greatest Love-mongers!

So, I love Mohammed as myself
by loving myself as Mohammed,
so I can help any hate-mongerer to love me as himself
by first loving himself as me.

Never in the world is Hatred conquered by Hatred:
Hatred is conquered by Love.
Dhammapada 223.5

We must think new thoughts; we must love as we have never even suspected we can love;
and if there is honor to violence, we must get it on [in Love] at once, have done with it, tryto live with the guilt for having so done, and move on.
Harlan Ellison

‘Love conquers all; Let us too yield to Love.’"
Virgil

Everything that irritates us about others can lead us to an understanding of ourselves [when we love everything that irritates us.] Carl Jung.

“If you hate a person, you hate something in him that is part of yourself.
What isn’t part of ourselves doesn’t disturb us.”
i.e. What we are that we don’t hate doesn’t disturb us when we see it in others. Herman Hesse

Taking a few Qu’ran quotes out of context (both the works context and the context of religious books of all sorts) is quite unimpressive. I actually heard Mike Savage use one of these, I think he must’ve researched just like you, off of a hate site.

All ideas that god has a chosen people, whether it be religious, racial or NATIONAL, are racist. These ideas are common to many religions but thankfully not common among many believers.

I’m not sure how long you’ve been dabbling in the pop conservative hate machine but you should turn to more interesting thinkers. When I hear a person adopt Ann Coulter tactics on a philosophy site, I tend to get a little cynical about people.

Someone sure has a lot of love to go around…

Even Jesus looked upon his people highest, which is what you call Racism. Matthew 15 says.

And Jesus was correct in his admiration for his people first, this is what all of Nature practices.

~Truth~

Not necessarily racist, but often Islam is used to justify many atrocities. Try perusing the Qu’ran and hadiths. :sunglasses:

:unamused: First, I am antireligions as most have been corrupted by humans for gain, most are violent, intolerant and misogynistic.

Second, Mohammad was neither worse no better than Joshua who slew the Cananites with “God’s” okay, or for that matter many of the popes instigating the Crusades. How about what the White colonization of the Americas did to the aboriginals. Hum, how about what the Japanese did to the Chinese prior to WWII? How about Hitler?? Stalin??? US slavery. I could go on, but you get the drift, right

Hum, you might want to read A Cynic’s Guide to History for insight.

:sunglasses:

Actually, if your read the hadiths or Qu’ran in context, they are as violent as the Torah. Even Jesus said I have come not to bring peace but the sword.

 True, Savage ranks up there with Limbaugh and Hannity.

:unamused: Problem, Islam is fairly new, and many Muslims, I do not have the stats, are not well educated or taught how to critically think. Try perusing Arab media hate propaganda sometime. :unamused: Many Islamic religious leaders are just as backward as many Protestants and Catholics were during the Reformation. You know, kill the heretic, kill the witch, burn them, put them on the rack.

Many religious leaders in the West, Buchannan, Falwell, Graham Jr., etc., are nasty too, the difference is that there are huge sanctions in the West if they pen a religious order (fatwah) calling for the murder of a person. This frequently occurs in Muslim nations.

Actually, many Muslims want to be allowed to practice Sharia law in the West :imp: This really pisses me off.

The problem is the Middle-East, Islam holds the OIL card. Our economy depends on this card.

We need to develop an alternate form of energy.

Also, please do not become ticked. I am entitled to my opinion, as you are

all this crap should be posted in the Fairy tale section… oops I meant religion… :unamused:

:sunglasses: Rounder, the problem is that billions of humans believe this and this has led to violence, hate, intolerance, etc. I hope you get it. Try reading some Islamic web site that actually support what the Taliban did.

Humans must deal with this or more death and destruction will follow.

Yeah true, billions of humans do believe in said crap… hmm… well I’ve tried many times to bring a religious person out of his illusions, and into the realm of sanity, and I’m sorry to say that every time I have failed… unfortunately I have given up, I do think that the masses need to wake up, and religious belief needs to be abolished, but it is a task where I often hit a wall. I have had long discussions with mostly christains, and they continue to suspend logic and rationality. I’ve tried many techniques (to my dismay many of my family members are very religious), I’ve actually gone so far as granted them that god exists FFS, and gone about showing if he does then there is no reason for structured religion, belief system, and how that religion, and belief has been tainted, and twisted by man… but I have never made the slightest bit of progress.

Sigh… so yeah you are right this thread works fine in social sciences… hopefully one day all religion will find itself being discussed in historical, and mythological websites, sorry… please continue on… :stuck_out_tongue:

Rounder, you cannot abolish religion yet - look at all of those people on Pope’ funeral…
Religion is not that simple matter. It is very good to actual reality. Religion is not consuming emotions on worthless reasoning but giving some positive ones such as faith, hope and love which are according to Lao-Tzu lead to ten thousands things. Religion is positive force for that matter. Vagueness of religion is what repent me in it - take it or live it. I took it, you left - it is your noble choice, Rounder. Religion is a vector aiming to the Truth but certainly not a truth. I repeated it over and over in this forum. It is a myth and as a myth has some power to change human personality.
Religion is a powerful thing - no freaking therapy or psychiatrists are having such power to heal and return suffering person to life. I know it by my own exprience. However one shouldn’t become fanatic believer and religious junkie. As Marx said: religion is opium for the people. In small dosage it is enjoyable.

Oh I have no doubt its a powerful thing , its been the reason for an uncomprehensible amount of wars, atrocities, and bloodshed. I’m quite convinced of its power.

 Rounder, if there is a God then God is probably laughing at how badly humans screwed up God’s message.

 The problem is that too many people have faith and perpetrate violence, discrimination, especially misogyny in the name of faith.
