I’m looking forward to the US having it’s first legal national universal healthcare program, one that can pass the constitutional muster of the Origination Clause- Obamacare being completely unlawful, has been off limits to law abiding citizens who insist on the No Taxation Without Representation Clause, and have been forced involuntarily to completely opt out with anything to do with it.
With respect to healthcare in America, the ideological warfare conducted by the liberals against the conservatives and the conservatives against the liberals basically comes down to this:
The liberals trot out all the horrors stories inflicted on citizens when healthcare revolves more rather than less around capitalism.
The conservatives trot out all the horror stories inflicted on citizens when healthcare revolves more rather than less around government programs.
Then they both fiercely insist that their own horror stories trump the horror stories of the “evil idiots” on the other side.
More conflicting goods, more dasein, more political economy.
Unless, of course, you are an objectivist. Then they really do.
