28 Days Later

This movie was intense…anyone else check it out?

28 Weeks Later is just coming out! I hear it’s good…and there are some trailers on YouTube!

I thought 28days later was a good film: I genuinely jumped at certian points in the actions, though that might be because I have low blood pressure and smoked a lot of weed.

Anyway, I’ll watch 28 weeks later when it comes out!

I’ve heard that it’s not good because it has a variety of logical flaws which it uses to further the plot. I saw the first one by chance and enjoyed it much more than I guessed, but I’m not sure about this one.

I also really like the lead actor in the current film. He was in Train Spotting and a variety of other films. I’ve never seen him in anything where I didn’t like him.

So, whoever goes to see the film should give me some feedback so that I’ll know.

That will be Fellow Glaswegian, Robert Carlisle, from Trainspotting and many other films. I heard that 28 weeks later has some obvious plot twists but that the pace and action remian pretty gripping - reminas to be seen.

Mr Predictable, have you seen or heard of the film RAVENOUS? It has Mr Carlisle in it. YOU MUST SEE IT! GO BUY IT TODAY!

Ravenous got panned by the critics but I liked it a lot and he was great in it. I rented it years ago.

I think that lots of people got confused because it was based on an obscure Indian legend of the, watch the spelling here, Wendego. Had they explained that more I think people would have gotten it more. I knew a little about the legend and enjoyed the angle.

28 Days Later, my brief take:

Great concept, poorly executed, particularly for a director of Danny Boyle’s obvious talents (even The Beach is visually more consistent and its narrative more holistic). Opening section is fantastic, and the strength of that one scene (man walks through empty, static London streets) probably sold the whole movie to whoever funded it. Indeed, I suspect they never bothered to finish the script, because the ending (much like in Matrix) is shite. I couldn’t have written a worse ending if I’d tried.

The bit where the blood drips out of the crow’s beak down into the bloke’s eye is probably the only shot in the second half of the film that made me give a shit. The rest was humdrum.

Whassat movie with the Werewolves up in Scotland fighting the SAS? That’s funnier, scarier and has a more solid (if utterly predictable) story.

Shit…what is the name of that film…the family of wolves…It is good…It is predictable but in a welcome way…I can’t remember!

It will come to me eventually.

Nah this really isnt all like the first one, but in a good way. Its definitly one worth watching, i was on the edge of my seat the entire time. its very fast paced. my heart was pounding.

Sorry, when i said 28 days later, i meant 28 weeks later, the second film. not the first.
