I am not sure how the plane in Antarctica is beautiful, but most of the rest are, even some that I would never go near.

I went there once, it was something I will never forget. Although as a man something I will not long remember. 
Nice scenes though. The fact that someone has taken a photo probably means none of them are abandoned. If they are really abandoned they would not even appear here.
If you could ever forget then you weren’t there long enough. “Integral” scars rarely heal, damnit.
A few years ago, while I was in India, I visited the abandoned ashram of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in the jungle near Rishikesh (where the Beatles stayed in 60’s).
I was struck by the beauty and decay, and the way nature reclaims her place. So peaceful, quiet, green, beautiful. Perfect for meditation.
