Yeah, I just heard an editorial on the radio about that.
If Nietzsche were here he would love this.
“What is man but a painful embarrassment to apes.”
Maybe I am, and maybe I’m not.
What’s it to ya?

They are too smart to fall for that.
Just because they´re better at one things doesn´t mean they can do more things than us.
But it´s great to see humans put to shame by a mental skill - a welcomed blow to anthropocentrism.
I say we give them equal status, the vote and the same rights as human enjoy.
It’s time to end this prejudice against other species, based on entirely superficial criteria and appearances.
I say, after women, blacks, and gays chimpanzees would be given equality under the law.
What kind of primitive, biased, barbarians are we?
Speciesm must end!!!
Fight the power.
It’s time to end this injustice towards those we are so similar to, based entirely on superficial insignificant appearances.
If they are placed in the right environment they too can excel and be just as smart as the average human.
It’s all about nurturing.
We can all end this prejudice.
There are no species.
We are all the same.
I don’t think anyone will fall for that, Satyr.
It is a tentation within my line of thinking, but I know it’s not possible and you sure do too (and it’s not even a tentation in your ways). Also, I like to believe that this forum is for philosophy, not for making fun of each other or flaming. I ask you not to try to do that.

I don’t understand why it’s okay to defend a position by saying that appearances don’t matter when it comes to humans, and then be accused of flaming when the same position is used to defend these innocent creatures from the same bias.
Another double-standard?
Is judging these creatures using external appearance not prejudiced thinking?
Just because the environment has an effect on their physical appearance does not mean, according to popular belief, that it has had an effect on their mind or psychology. Is this not the belief of our time, in the west?
Big deal.
I watched a discovery channel show about a certain species of bird that buries thousands of seeds in the summer, each in a different location, then comes back in the winter and finds about 90% of the seeds it had buried.
Talk about memory!
