a recent shot from central Australia at sunset…
Wow, that’s really pretty, nice photo. =D>
thanks for the feedback, I appreciate the compliment.

Your welcome, I want to get more into photography, but first I need a camera, that’d be cool.
if you’re willing to buy a film camera you can pick up a very decent rig for a ludicrously small amount of money.
There are also other types of photography which rely on very inexpensive, scrounged, or homemade cameras. If you’re interested I can put together some resources for you and send them along.
cheers,
gemty
Thanks for the offer, but first I need to raise the funds for it.
i really like that picture
i should get into color photography… right now i’m on black and white
thanks creationimperfect.
I definitely saw your taste for black and white from your post. Are you shooting film?
cheers,
gemty
yes i am
how could you tell? (not sarcastic)
I think it has something to do with your avatar.
I noticed the way the B&Ws you posted looked. There is a certain quality of black and white film being scanned that comes through. digital just cannot seem to capture the same depth and richness that good old Ilford can.
I don’t think I said it in the other thread, but I thought you picked excellent subjects for B&W, and that can be very difficult.
cheers,
gemty
thank you. i figure i might as well pick good b&w subjects if i don’t know how to shoot color. (that is as opposed to shooting color subjects in b&w)
I get the feeling of a nice cool evening in this picture. Dark cool. Which is quite a good feeling because the heat has been so intense up here in Scotland for the past few weeks.
Beautiful photo!!! I would love to have info on your homemade cameras. I used to make cameras when I was a kid with a shoe box.
no worries lightkeeper, I’ll tro to get them for you in the next few days. We’re in the middle of moving so it may be some time, but I will put them up for you.
cheers,
gemty
wonderful dude, really good
