A call for civility...

  This post is rich.

Explain yourself. Explain what you mean with this statement.

It doesn’t necessarily equal conflict all the time but it still doesn’t change the reality of how society exists or thrives on conflict and competition.

Cooperation can happen out of mutual self interests of people working together, but that still doesn’t change the large quantity of blackmail and threats that society operates on.

Working together however out of mutual self interests doesn’t really dominate society publicly as it does privately.

Publicly in society there is the status quo which acts as a economical demand which through various societal standards pressures people to conform within it’s premise in order to gain power or influence where people who cannot conform to this demand are left powerless in some of the most miserable situations of living.

I don’t deny that people work together sometimes out of mutual self interests however I do deny that such a feature is dominant within public society in contrast to private relationships since clearly public societies and economies operate on demand.

Personally I think you and the OP are naive idealists who are painting a pretty picture of human life that just isn’t.

I still stand by my original statement. ( Fuck civility.)

Why, because I don’t terminologize things like you do?

Now your getting it.
