Yes, of course it works. It works because you’re using the words in two differently meaning clauses. We need to parse the differences. But not tonight. It’s too late for me now. And I did say, " I prefer ‘different from’ in a lot of cases. But that may be just stylistic."

I’ve noticed that a lot of people add an ‘s’ to the word ‘anyway.’ Does that change the word? Or does it make it idiomatic? The way it’s used is usually as a linking verb. so what’s the diff?
