Lots of times when people imagine virtue, love or goodness, they imagine practicing it on the weak or needy.
My suggestion is:
Practice all of your finest social will upon your own body. All good concepts that where soully for others–all extensions, apply these to yourself and really feel what it’s like to “be your own friend”.
I totally agree. I think it’s a very good healing thing that people can do, especially those who were mistreated as a child. We should treat ourselves as well as we’d treat our children, spouse or best friend. We want our kids to eat healthy, so we should do the same. We want our best friend to get out of unhealthy relationships, so we should do the same. It’s kind of like “practice what you preach.” Sometimes the only person around who is going to be good to us is ourselves.
