I don’t think so. It seems that they gain serious profits from extortion deals and then use that money to build ships (and steal more information and bribe more politicians and silence more dissenters and —).
One of the primary concerns that I had with James’ posts was his statements concerning “obfuscation and extortion” - because that is EXACTLY what the CCP has been doing to the world for almost a century.
- Create confusion and conflict (“obfuscation”)
- Wait for or secretly create a catastrophe (wait for or create the right moment)
- Offer to remedy the problem upon compliance with CCP wishes (extortion)
“Give me what I want - and I will go away” (but only until next time).
