Well, thats one story i’m very sad to hear about - one of my favourite actors, could not believe it when I just heard it on the news. Sounds like an overdose of pills. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/7203797.stm
Sudan, Darfur, Somalia, Mogadishu, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Pakistan, Russia, China, India, anywhere North or South America; hundreds of thousands die any given day, a large percentage of whom are children who haven’t lived long enough to make an enemy and all you hear is …
1 drug addict actor OD’s and people act like it’s a story.
Drug addict, dead, earned and deserved, who cares, next.
He was not an average actor, he was chosen to be a gay cowboy and heroin fck’d prostitute (and did them extremly well) which in my eyes deserves credit instead of some Angelina Jole hit etc.
Yeah i know you are right - people die every day. its the same with the princess diana thing - they STILL go on and on about now!! 11yrs on!! i’m sick of hearing about her.
It still doesn’t make it any less sad. What i find sad is someone feeling that there is no other possibility but killing themselves. It shows no matter how much you have, it doesn’t make you happy. Its so amazingly selfish too.
What’s worse than the fact he’s dead, is the fact that everything from his autopsy to his funeral will be in full view of the public, not allowing his family the chance to mourn and come to terms with it in private.
That is the problem when you make your money by having a public life. He signed onto that when he become a movie actor. Your choices not only affect yourself but those around you when events like that happen.
Possibly, but I think it’s a sad state of affairs anyway. The publics desire for ‘celebrities’ and every bit of gossip surrounding them depresses me… just look at the whole Britney situation. People regardless of their job should have a private life. But maybe I’m just a dreamer…
Oh and suicide is undoubtedly selfish. Unless your death will not affect anyone in a negative sense, which definitely isn’t the case here, then you are causing others pain and suffering.
Yes, I have to agree. But when someone is so low that they cannot see that they have anyone or anything worth living for, it is heartbreaking.
I’ve read today though that it was accidental because of the mix of anti-anxiety things he was on and sleeping pills for insomnia etc. but who knows. doesn’t really matter now anyway.
What is depressing: The media actually giving time to these Westboro creatures of despair and doom. Judge not lest ye be judged… They must of used white out on that part.
I cannot feel pity for the guy, he can get through a complicated script, comprehend it, know it, but, he can’t follow simple directions on a bottle? TV is filled with warnings about mixing prescriptions too. How hard is it to pick up the phone talk to your doctor , talk to a pharmicist, talk to poison control? I mean really, come on, to die from such stupidity would be embarrassing. I do feel for the guy’s family. Q; How did your son die? A: He didn’t read the label.
They deserve privacy for mourning. I pity them and only them. But, we humans are rubberneckers and curious creatures ever drawn to the morbid. This thread is an example of that. I guess I should feel sorry for humanity on a whole.
