i have noticed that alot of my posts rub off as borderline ad hominem.
in light of this i would like to explore what you guys deem to be ad hominem…
example one… i called a person paranoid… i provided reasons of coarse, but offense was taken evidently (also it was in response to being called a liar)
example 2… i said to the same person “you disgust me”… i think this is borderline… i didnt actually say he was anything, just how i percieved him… how does this classify?

Yep. Sounds like telling someone they’re paranoid or they disgust you is an ad hom.
They do not involve reasoning or logic: therefore they would be deemed ad hominem… For what it’s worth: I think your getting better at not using that tactic, Wonderer. 
an ad hominem response: “well, your FAT.”
What about my fat?
Well, look at the statement you make. If you say 'You are -insert insult-", it’s an ad-hom.
If you say “Your reasoning(arguement, logic, ideas, statements) are flawed because of…” you are not guilty of ad hom.
Similarly, if you say “Your arguement makes you seem -insert insult here-” it would not technically be ad hom, but it would probably be rude.
