advice on travelling eastern europe

Hey, Im heading off with a friend to eastern europe, namely poland, czech republic, croatia, hungary, slovakia, slovenia, romania, bulgaria, macedonia, serbia and montenegro. That’s between two and three days in each country, so we want to have an idea of where to definatly go, and where to definatly not go…thus i’m taping all my sources for advice before we go. Any suggestions?

try and avoid landing in prison. i cant imagine its very fun over there.

As much and all as I want to see how real people live… i only have three weeks. Maybe ill try it next time though…

If you goto Warsaw I would recommend from a humanity perspective to visit the Warsaw Ghetto and if you manage to make it further out then to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Both are just as much of Polish history as it’s many kings and Lech Walesa.

Budapest is a lovely city with a big big river running through the centre
