I’ve got to confess, I’m not very surprised.
The whole thing seemed like it was just a sympathy story from Blair to give Bush a little credibility on the 9-11 conspiracy.
So what? What are you gonna do about it?
Vote for another guy?

Well, it’s on the Net so it must be true.
Um no actually, it was in the media so it must be true.

Yes, the media will ne’er lead us astray! =D>
I have a deep mistrust for the media. I expect it stems from growing up in politicised apartheid South Africa. On the one hand I have my humanity, on the other hand I’m being fed all sorts of information that doesn’t fit with my humanity. Literally I’m in conflict with how I feel and what I’m being told. I have a feeling, an instinct. Now what do you suppose I should trust? When this whole lark about this so called air terror attack surfaced? Immediately at the first news my body is repulsed by it. Literally I feel sick. Why? Not because I can’t believe that people would do such a thing, we live in troubled times, but rather because I have learned to trust what I feel instinctively over any news report. Yes it’s true, sometimes I don’t know what I’m feeling but then rather than take in any reports as gospel, I prefer to sit back and wait… to see what becomes revealed.
From what I feel, it is my firm belief that there is no threat of external terror other than our own fears manufactured by ‘powers’ that be.
That’s not to say that no news is true, it’s just that true and truth are different things.

The sad thing about Life in the Information Age is that all this data flying around makes the truth of something nearly impossible to find. As Bright Eyes sang: “ABC, NCB, CBS bullshit- they give us fact and fiction I’d say an even split. And if accuracy is just popular opinion, and the approval rating’s high- the someone’s gonna DIE!”
The five colours blind the eye.
The five tones deafen the ear.
The five flavors dull the taste.
Racing and hunting madden the mind.
Precious things lead one astray.
Therefore the sage is guided by what he feels and not by what he sees.
He lets go of that and chooses this.

I’m sure everyone is aware that the best news sources are all the ones that come from places that give us the “raw” and “unfiltered” stories… If they say it’s the “raw” story and that there version is “the truth” and it happens to counter the “official” (there must be an “official” version) story then we KNOW we can trust that site… instinctively trust it.
Lastly, terrorists never do dangerous things and are all incompetent fools! They could never hope to become experts and no one would be willing to teach them how to create explosive devices… who would take money from these people? Money only corrupts government officials, and I think we all know that.
