Christianity has a long history there. It was no less influenced by pagan traditions than Ireland, England, France, Italy, Greece or Egypt in it’s Christianity.
Fuck, you wanna use this logic, I can claim Sweden is still Christian as they haven’t abandoned many of the ideas inherent in christianity, just as you can claim they were all fooling themselves for those long centuries as Christians, but actually held pagan concepts…
They were once pagan, then Christian, Sweden is due Christianizing the fastest, and is coincidently fading the fastest too. It isn’t giving up on christianity per say, but rather ignoring human nature in favor of strict socialistic idealism… They mixed Marx and nietzsche in a nonviolent, scientific manner, but one that is perhaps the least preferred, as it becomes too damn comfortable and entrenched. What Lenin tried to do with the labor unions in St. Petersburg… A direct rule by individual Soviets, they successes at with the encouragement of the Swedish church, which was all for it. Their country us ruled by labor unions, they adopt the most liberal attitudes about hendonism possible, and gradually discourage competition and families.
End result is a lot of single people, because their relationships don’t last, a lot less fucking, and general stagnation of their economy. Their main company known for exports is IKEA, and they gave up and moved to the Netherlands. They try to claim they can still make it economically as they still push out patents, but these are mostly useless patents, and they don’t build much for export with it.
At least Finland next door has a more diversified economy, is much more sympathetic to religious refugees from Sweden (not shitting you, they got a island set up for them) and sells iconic items, like cheese grater and scissors (the orange handled scissors), and some multitools we’ve all used like Gerbers. These are solid products. Good forestry, good dairy. Tough military.
Only scandanavian country I like is Finland. I generly look down on Sweden. Norway… Man, fuck their stinky fish. Their economy is too heavily based on oil. I stopped being impressed with Scandinavia when I lived in Alaska.
