between the years 1861-1865 southerners secceeded from the union and then fought the war to the civil end. for political leaders in the south, the republican victory 1860 presented clear/immediate danger to the slaveoning republic that existed since 1776.
in other words, i have to do a 2000 page outline of that era and submit it in a couple of hours. when did i find this out? an hour ago…then i took a shower…
