One of the modern day topics, although it is
hardly commented upon directly, is this notion
of, what is an American?
Through their actions, MAGA has redefined what
it means to be an American… not in a good way…
Returning to Christian values is often stated as
a MAGA value and yet, conservatives and MAGA has
clearly rejected the values of the bible and Jesus…
For example, the MAGA and conservative need,
in fact, a compulsion of theirs is to define being
American with masculinity… their entire being is
defined by being masculine… and yet failing
to being able to define what exactly is being
‘‘Masculine’’… their adherence to violence is
part of their failed understanding of what it means
to be either masculine or an American…
as violence is one of the defining features of being
an America or a man, they reject the words of Jesus
as not being ‘‘masculine’’ enough…men are often
the ‘‘protector’’ but that in itself doesn’t mean
violence is the answer…one can be a protector without
resorting to violence… and it is not only violence that is
defined as being an American, but also hatred, anger, lust,
greed… negative values that lead us nowhere…
practicing hate, as in hatred for gay people, is clearly
not masculine… it is instinctual and anything instinctual
is animal, but not masculine…
Truth be known, ever overly masculine man I have
ever met has been a gutless coward… without fail…
for to be a ‘‘real’’ man isn’t about violence or anger or hatred,
or even fear… it is about overcoming, to have courage
enough to face one’s fears and overcoming one’s
indoctrinations of childhood… that is true courage,
and something lacking in men who proclaim the spirit
of masculinity…
truth be known, insisting on one’s masculinity is
sign of one’s own fear and they are using overly masculinity
to hide their fears… the exact same symptoms of a bully…
one becomes a bully due to extreme fear of being found out
that they are a coward…
and our current definition of being an American, as defined
by MAGA, certainly wouldn’t be recognized by any of
our great American hero’s… George Washington would
not be able to make sense of our modern day definition of
an American as being masculine… and in virtually every
single John Wayne movie, he practiced violence, but
he never instigated the violence… violence came to him,
he never sought it out…and in many eyes, John Wayne
was the quintessential hero…and yet, at no point had
Wayne ever practiced what is now typical MAGA actions/
behavior… which is cruelty and violence towards those
least able to fight it…the modern day MAGA reveals
in their cruelty toward others…violence toward women
and children without any compassion of any kind…
or have we already forgotten the ICE deportation
of a child in the middle of Chemotherapy… the
immigration officer who punched out a man who
was already on the ground in handcuffs…the
violence to those who have committed no crime of
any kind… which includes American born citizens…
Tear gassing a children’s Halloween parade…
and routine violation of people rights, as defined
by the Constitution…you know, the law of the land…
Not only would Washington not be able to recognize
this America, neither would Lincoln or either Roosevelt,
or JFK or even Raygun would be appalled by today’s
MAGA…
but this wanton violence against people just because
they are not white or upper class or own property,
is a sign of the complete failure of MAGA to
hold values that would not be recognized by
American’s 20 or 30 years ago…
this leads us to a greater question of what does it
mean to be human? Are human values really MAGA
values of anger, hatred, violence, negation/nihilism
of others, really human values?
I find it hard to believe that the MAGA values of violence
and hatred are human values…to negate others,
nihilism is the founding principle of MAGA…
MAGA values are values of exclusion, ostracism,
intolerance, bigotry and prejudice, are they values
we want in human beings? Would you want your friends
to practice MAGA values in which you are judge inferior
because you are not of MAGA… white, Christian… but
in name only because MAGA values aren’t Christian values
as those values have been explicitly rejected as being
unmasculine…
So, what does it mean to be human in regards to the
values one holds? Which values are specifically
values that human beings hold?
Those who MAGA/conservative certainly don’t have any
sense of what values are human values as they can’t even
identify what are American values or what is specifically
Christian values…
so, what values are American values, what values
are human values and do the two overlap in some
regard?
