Congrats old man, the younger immature person here is going to take the high road (as I always do) and drag myself back up to proper communication until you succeed in dragging me back down into this… again.
Now let’s hear your ‘high road’ pun/joke. You’re so predictable.
You’re doing it again, Gobbo! You claim advanced sources that I couldn’t know, then you illogically advise me to “look it up!” Do you see how that can’t work? You’ve already stated that the “corporate news” sources that you imagine I watch aren’t telling me the truth, so what am I supposed to do, Google it? It would be ironic if all the top secret stuff the government is supposedly hiding was on a public search engine. Or is that your secret source of intel?
You may or may not “know stuff”, but to think that might make me insecure is projection on your part. Certainly lots of people know things I don’t. As Plato might say, enlighten me- have pity on a poor fool or how am I to improve? You might try giving me the address of a couple of these secret prisons, because surely then I could know for myself.
Make no mistake, nothing I’ve ever said should be read to imply that we shouldn’t fear the American governement. But my fears are based on the things Ive actually seen, not conspiracy theories floating around the 'net.
I probably do think you’re crazy, but not mentally ill crazy. I can’t know much about you, of course, but you seem to be a basically good, upper middle class priveledged kid with too much time on your hands and an overactive imagination. My notion is that conspiracy theories are the social equivalent of allergies; allergies are caused by the bodies antibodies not having enough real bacteria to fight, so they turn on themselves.
None of this mean I think you’re a bad guy. Actually you seem quite bright. The fact that I seldom agree with you in no way makes me not want to talk to you. Can you imagine anything more boring than only associating with people who thought just like you? I find you a very interesting person with some unconventional notions.
So please don’t take my skepticism personally. And I respond to everything with a joke, even in “real life.” I guess it’s a character flaw of mine, I’m just a really really sarcastic person. That gives me something to work on, I guess- I never said I was perfect.
I appreciate the rest of your post and I understand better where you’re coming from…
But let’s focus on this for now:
No, I just don’t repeat the sources again and again and again as they’ve already been etched into ILP memory once, and I usually feel that to be enough. There’s a search function – I use it often.
The thing you have to realize is that the site I post -is- the source in the sense that you should look into it, and then yes go to Google and start searching. Yeah they alter some hit counts and (even worse) play around with Google Videos but all the stuff -is- in google.
Ok… let me explain something. The mentality of these ‘people’ these Bankers and other world elites is something like this: “Do it all in the open” . They -always- de-classify documents, they usually will run a key story on network news at least once, just to say that they did. That’s the thing, their attitude is 'hey… if you can’t be bothered to stop us, then we’re not going to care what we do to you". Public quotes; documents; hell, if you look through the pages upon pages upon pages of UN notes you can find pretty much anything you want to know globally – but hardly anyone ever does. And the ones that do are laughed at.
I’m not saying you must -trust- random information that you find on the internet, only that you will not find what you’re looking for in some extremely public venue like the hearst owned ‘Popular Mechanics’.
Nowadays though, Bush is abandoning this philosophy to a great deal. There is -no- translucence left in the government at all. It’s just straight up lies or refusal to answer. I cannot get the actual government issued Prison List because he’s stopped making anything Public. The unofficial one I posted is just as accurate, only it’s probably missing a couple of the newer updates. Bush is just fucking… doing what he wants, and no one is stopping him. That is the law now, Bush has full power over everything should he decide to excersize it.
The game has changed, they’re not planning for things and making the plans known to a small group of listening individuals – they’re doing it before our very eyes and daring you to try and do something about it.
The ID cards are coming in 2008 and I’ll be gone before that happens. Microchip in my driver’s license? No thanks.
2 Years, Phaedrus. You know where the country is headed, I guess my question to you is… what the hell are you waiting for?
The evidence?
Like I said… you may want to start searching for it before it’s too late.
thirst4metal:
You were doing well to stay on that high road up until this point…
Imp’s views are extreme, no doubt. That doesn’t mean he is inaccurate.
K: philosophical he is right on, politically he is very inaccurate.
He doesn’t even believe Iraq is in a civil war. Only 20% of
americans believe Iraq is not in a civil war. Even commanders
in the field (in iraq) believe Iraq is in a civil war.
I really don’t think Bush will make Canucks get American drivers liscenses in '08! Bush’s term expires in '08 at which time he’ll leave office, like every president before him. Or do you think he’ll simply declare martial law to stay president?
Oddly enough, there was a lot of speculation that Clinton would do that. I didn’t think it was likely but given his personality I did wonder…

K: There will be another 9/11 and bush will use that to
intern people based on political beliefs instead of actually
crimes against the U.S. Along with gobbo, I too will go away into
that good night, into some concentration camp and I suspect many
here will join us. He will also use that event to claim that it is not
“safe” to have an election and thus circumnavigate the election
in 2008. Any protest against this illegal action will get you sent
to your friendly neighborhood concentration camp.

It doesn’t matter who the president is, really. There are things I’m not sure of; for instance there are fights within the ‘above gov’t’ and Bush may decide he wants to stay, against someone else’s desire. He may not.
The important thing is that these people are all working for these Bankers… I mean, Bush is knighted along with Cheney and Rove and prolly Rummy. They’re American but these families are old money, and they’re European in origin. Try to conceptualize American as a colony, still. Some dude from America may get in with his own decent agenda (Lincoln, JFK) but the agents they’ve sent over nowadays simply get in because the world is complex enough so as to allow it. Clinton was amicable, incredibly smart, didn’t need any help really. Bush was a fuck-up moron (but still fairly smart) and so they had to rig the electronic ballets, and the Florida thing the time before. Kerry knew he was going to lose because he was in on it.
That’s the point we’re at here, where the two people running are in cahoots and it truly doesn’t matter. Next it’s prison… I mean you can see the progression. And this is where me and Pete differ, because he thinks it’s a Demo/Repub thing and it’s not. It’s about educating the public again so as to force that distinction – any distinction back into politics.
Let’s make the operations of the servant, that of us the people, visible again to public inquiry. let’s free ourselves of a privately owned means of monetary production and rid the world of this leech that permeates the fabric of almost all of the modern world.
And believe me, doing that would only be a start. We have much to get ready for.
No he didn’t, and that’s my point. Ultra-partison haters like you & OG will always demonize the other party, but I think the reality of the situation is that he’ll simply be succeeded by another asshole when his term is up. Your right-wing counterparts demonized Clinton too, and talked themselves into thinking he’d declare martial law in order to extend his own power. But it didn’t come to pass.
I think it’s a near certainty that Democrats will make considerable inroads next week. Regardless of your personal politics, all the polls show Bush is extremely unpopular, and even those who initially supported him have begun to become disillusioned. It’s obvious to nearly everyone that the war in Iraq has been handled incompetently to the point where all we can do is try to keep the place from melting down completely. The Dems who voted to go to war will probably ride off into the sunset, too- more liberal opponents are landing body blows on the centrist, Hillary-types who initially voted for war. She will survive, many others will not.
You really remind me a lot of my dad, Krop, although you’re far younger than him. He’s a super, hardcore right winger who tends to view the left exactly like you view the right. Flip sides of the same coin.

K: I have had several different political/philosophical
views in my life. I did not fall into my viewpoint at 17
and never changed. I have come to my viewpoints honestly
and from experience.
Wasn’t it William H. Buckley that said if you’re not a liberal in your twenties you don’t have a heart, but that if you’re not a conservative in your forties you don’t have a brain? I may be wrong about the author but I always thought it was a funny saying, with perhaps a kernal of truth within. Anyone who has attended a typical American university probably got a pretty heavy dose of liberal propoganda. I myself surely did, and I had some definate liberal leanings as you kid. Experience changed my mind, and of course continues to change my mind.

K: I think he stole it from George Bernard Shaw.
I didn’t go to collage. I was too busy making enough
money to survive. I have been working for a living since
I was 18. I am now 47 and so for 29 years, I have been without
my typical American propaganda. I feel so left out.
I have some minor junior collage, but they call junior collage,
junior collage for a reason.
