AN ENTROPIC SOLILOQUY - a poem I wrote today 21Sep. 2006

the objective remains the same
but grows more and more distant
the closer i get further along
this life-long journey
and grows further distant yet
in direct proportion to
my ever-increasing acceleration

“Slip Sliding Away” by Paul Simon–this totally reminded me of that song.

I can 100% relate to this one and you did a good job with it.

Paul #@%&*$!-ing Simon? Well, at least it’s not REEE-buh --inside joke-- Mack-in-TYRE. Anyhoo, I’m gladja liked it btrfly.

It’s a great poem, but it took me a bit of rereading to get it down.

I get that a lot and not always in regards to my poetry.

A mental tongue-twister. Complex, not easily accessible. But worth the effort. A fine poem.

Thanks, Beowulf, but I rather think it to be simply complex and not simply just complex if that makes sense. As memory serves me, I believe it was your 2nd mosaic poem (pixels) that inspired the genesis of this poem of mine. It’s not necessarily a direct response to your poem, but your poem was the lightning bolt that was needed to bring Frankenstein’s monster to life - the best analogy I could come up with at 8AM EST-US with only 2-hrs of sleep.
