An Idea Of Mine For A Reality Television Show

This truly is the era of reality television and so to celebrate that fact I’ve come up with my own idea for reality t.v.

I’m calling my idea Experience Homelessness Reality TV.

We’ll take the most wealthy, rich, and powerful of our society where for sixty days they’ll experience being homeless along with being financially destitute living in absolute penury.

It will be a reality television series of human experience and trading places.

Experience a home realtor tycoon descending into becoming a street alcoholic.

Watch a wealthy trophy wife become a street heroin or meth addict sucking dick in a dark back alley to support her drug habit.

On episode two the home realtor tycoon turned street alcoholic commits suicide by jumping off a bridge.

As for reality television ideas I’m surprised this hasn’t been suggested yet. I feel there is an entertainment consumer market venue for this kind of television series. It would be the ultimate reality television series human survival experience.

homelessness is not pretty is it, a very grim reality, technically you can be houseless and still have a home on the streets, the mind just has to adapt along with the body, and life continues…then it probably isn’t that bad.

I just think it would be an entertaining reality television series and social experiment.

With a heavy focus on watching the rich suffer?

Well, yeah…

It wouldn’t be entertaining if they didn’t.

You are assuming that everyone will react the same in the face of adversity (and indirectly, what you’re really doing is implying that everyone is just like you). The difference is in the mindset, not in circumstances, and your mindset just wants to bring everyone to the level of your kind. There are successful people who had to start from scratch again and again (that’s life), and who were not even born with the silver spoon in their mouths, but had to learn the ropes on their own.
Yes, there will be some rich people who will be broken for good, but not all.
Like I said, it’s in the mindset. You have to be willing to pay the price for what you want, no matter how unpleasant it may be, even if it means your self. You are what you think…and you appear to be a loser… and not because I say so but because you say so.

Ah Pandora, I was wondering where your scathing hatred of me went with your prolonged absence. Glad to still see you alive in deep venerated hatred of me as usual. We now have a proof of life from you. I was beginning to think you died from natural causes or something…so glad you’re still here with us. golf claps

Of course all the participants wouldn’t react the same way and that’s what would make it entertaining.

Dont you think there is some truth to what Pandora said… Like was there a time where you were ambitious, then a time where you just turned away?

I never slept in a doorway, or was that dirty when I was homeless… I went days without water in a drought too, covered in salt sweat, still kept my skin clean each night. I knew it was survival… cops arrest me, I would have a criminal record and no ease of employment in security. Easy for a vet to get a job in security, had to get off the streets on California rate pay.

I dressed better than mist of you actually, was necessary camoflague.

Who says that I’m not ambitious?

I actually have a lot of things going for me currently and everything is going just fine.

Running from you isn’t the same thing as going for you.

Back when I was homeless, I enjoyed it. My mom didn’t let me play videogames, watch movies higher than PG, or eat anything but tofu, and so we’d sleep at friends houses and I’d finally have the freedom to play videogames and eat as much chocolate as I could muster.

So we have to be specific, because I know lots of homeless that just sleep at friends, we have to specify the homeless that have no friends and shelter and so the term I use for this is “houseless” because it is different from homeless some of which are basically Gypsies.

The irony of this post, Joker, is there’s probably a rich ceo reading this somewhere who is planning on stealing your idea, getting rich from it and not paying you a cent.

I think the funnier part of the show would be the homeless people being put into the position of the wealthy. I can’t imagine how funny it would be to see them constantly humiliated by their lack of manners. It’s like when you accidentally bring a girl to a restaurant that’s too nice for her and you then realize that you’re the one in the fancy place with the whorish woman. It’s funny, but can be a little uncomfortable too. Homeless people are homeless for a reason. They’re not good enough at life to be any better off.

You are still obsessed with comparing yourself to others. There have always been privileged people/classes throughout history, that’s just life, and it’s not personal, nor is it “wrong” in itself. Nature abhors power vacuums, and when those get filled, everyone else falls respectively into his own place in the hierarchy ladder. (if you’re in power, you’d want to keep it too). In your case, you’re bitter because you’re not there ‘up the ladder’ and do not possess the qualities necessary to get there. If you don’t want to do what it takes (because you think you’re too good for it, or whatever), then don’t try to bring those down who do.

And for a true test, I’d say five years (or even more) is better than sixty days.

Actually, your vendetta fantasy might not even work as you envision it. I get it, you want to punish rich people, and you want them to feel your pain. But rich people being homeless are STILL in a better position than people who’ve always been poor. And that’s because those who were poor and have become successful know what they can have because they have already achieved it before. And those who were always poor and have never achieved anything are less likely to achieve anything? Why? Because they’ve never been there and deep down they don’t believe that’s it’s possible. Like a person who’ve never swam before, they are too afraid of drowning.

That’s so funny, not.

Has a sort of Eddie Murphy Trading Places spin on things. You know, I don’t think every example the other way around would end in disaster either. There’s the possibility of success also.

It will be a continuous show off exhibit. A number of new millionaires (who come from poverty and who’ve come to easy money) have that quality - showing off - compensating. They feel like have to make up for all they’ve missed in their poverty that when they finally come to money, they simply gorge themselves on luxury items and lifestyle. So you see a lot of this among the new millionaires: the competition for the best, the newest, the most unique, the most outrageous, etc. And the funny part is - when all of your rich neighbors can easily afford the same Bentley, the same Bugatti, the same 5 million Hublot watch, etc. how can you outdo them…with the same kind of money?

Well, this is an idea for reality television I wouldn’t mind being stolen. They can steal it all they want, I don’t care.

I doubt however such a television series would ever come into existence.

Sure, there would definitely have to be a lot of specifications for such a television show.

Yes and no. I could definitely see it briefly mentioned somewhere in a Family Guy episode.

But if people are actually gonna jump off bridges the lawsuits may exceed the profit margin of the show.

You know, you make a lot of abhorrent assumptions about me and my life where I just find it all rather entertaining.

For instance, you don’t know how I live currently, my future goals, or what my ambitions really are. Please keep making an ass out of yourself by all means.

Also, your judgment is based upon a cultural metanarrative so full of ignorance that you fail to see the much wider environmental ramifications within human interactions. I’m not fazed by anything you say here because when I speak of government societies destroying themselves it is attitudes like yours prevailing that will initiate it all. So, by all means don’t change a thing about yourself and keep on doing whatever it is that you do. I am counting on individuals like you all across the planet to achieve the level of destruction worldwide that I could only dream of doing on my own. People like yourself are the sole providers of social upheaval around the planet more than you actually know. Unintended consequences are a real bitch especially when they become global in nature…
