An important distinction, regarding Misantrhopy.

It is important to note that Misanthropy/Philanthropy are two of the same coin. Thus, they are 2 sides of the same thing.

It’s opposite is Humanism/Nihilism.

We can see this in the Joker character from DC Comics, he is either being misanthropic, or giving his money away and complaining about third world countries.

However, the Humanist is an agent of deception. It is a vile creature It masks it’s inherent Nihilism with pretentious positivity. It may engage in Philanthropy but only as a function of the humanist agenda - it has no inherent goals, the Humanist is life denying and views life as a meaningless futile result of entropy. The Humanist has no loyalty except to it’s own self, which it does not value. A humanist cannot be trusted, as most of it’s actions are entirely pretentious and hypocritical - it claims it only associates itself with people who have motivated goals, and it does this to distract itself from its own Nihilistic core - that it itself has no actual purpose besides surrounding itself with hedonism. In fact, the Humanist can be trusted even less than the average Joker, because the joker makes no attempt to hide it’s own villiany, while the Humanist lies in the light, shielding itself with nodding heads and fake bubblyness. The humanist is no Pinkie Pie, for Pinkie Pie is actually the joker. Pinkie Pie takes pity on those with frowns, while the Humanist treats them with same value she puts on her own life - none.

A humanist is so obtuse that it cannot recognize the cause of Misanthropy - which is an inversion of Philanthropy. Rather it focuses its head on things “as the moment”, ignoring the root cause of actions or motives behind actions. It is emotionally centered in “the now” and does not extend empathetic causal chain analysis on the causes of actions arising.
