I finished watching this vid last night.
I have to say I prefer Canada to ancient Greece.
Can you say something about the video’s content? Videos don’t fit into my life very well.
Some of the qualities that the video describes are things, like how the Greeks were both scientific and heavily religious. They also would leave infants to die if they had defects. The various city states and towns each had their own customs and laws despite general themes. They valued strength a lot, mainly athleticism and beauty, and would shun weak and diseased persons. They had slave labor. They had a perfectionist style of expectations placed on their people in their society, too. I think they were a lot more harsh than our modern post-christian white people. That is a bit of it.

Dan, what if the whole world was ruled by frat boys? Could you imagine what it would be like? Lots of going to the gym, styling of hair and weird sex with anything that has a hole to fuck. All the smart people who weren’t also athletes would be screwed and we’d all be taking baths together in public. I mean if you think about it they’re really a pretty nasty bunch.
I didn’t like the animal sacrifices either, to top it all off.
