Class 7W were on a geography field trip to a farm. After spending the morning putting up with the general stench, listening to various grunts, and watching the farmer do something to a cow with a rubber glove on, they wandered off to have their packed lunches, which the school provided. Johnny Jones and Sarah Cox sat next to each other on a fence. They’d fancied each other for months, and love was beginning to blossom. Towards the end of their meal, Johnny noticed a fresh cow pat with a small handprint in it - “ahhh, look at that, Saró,” he said excitedly, “some stupid idiot’s put 'is 'and in there!” Sarah giggled. Johnny continued: “when I’ve finished this chocolate hobnob, I’m gonna find out who did it and cuss 'em real bad!” “But these are plain hobnobs, Johnny,” said Sarah.
