Did Jesus say anything in the gospels about how you should treat your friends? As far as I recall, he’s only voiced his opinion on how you should treat your enemies; and that’s just enough for Ann Coulter to condemn Jesus as the founder of the Godless Church of Liberalism!
When you go through the gospels, you may find it equally amusing as I have that for someone as Jesus who preaches that you should “love your enemies”, he sure damns alot of people to Hell.
Snide? I don’t think that’s very nice of you to say. Speaking of what you’ve said… why would you say “the Lord” punishes who he loves? That’s pretty sadistic if you ask me. “I love you all but you’re going to hell anyway because I said so… ?” Perhaps he’s expressing his love of these people for providing him the entertainment they will give him when they suffer in the flames?
Before Ann Coulter, I had never heard of this so-called “Godless Church of Liberalism”… it sounds like something so absurd that only a “snide” Republican like her would make up.
Apparently there’s even a documentary about her called Is It True What They Say About Ann?… she’s also featured in two other films…
Regardless… her comments, at best, are a product of imagined perception. It’s like the number 23. If you look for it (or anything else for that matter), you are bound to repetitively find it.
