There’s really only three main axioms to Anthemisim, in no particular order:
- Neil Peart is God
- Geddy Lee is God
- Alex Lifeson is God
I know the whole ‘one god in three persons’ concept is kind of radical and silly, but if you think about it, you’ll find that it makes perfect sense. I mean, let’s just take out Geddy, for example. Then you’re left with no low-end. That’s just silly and sad. No, you need all three aspects of this same God for the world to make sense and be tolerable.
From these three tenants a lot can be gleaned. First and foremost, Anthem is all-powerful. This will take some explaining.
You see, there is a magical, white, rectangular prism that Anthem happened upon. With it, He can control God. Spinning his might clickwheel of might Anthem can alter the very fabric of time, causing God to become louder or softer; go forwards, backwards, pause, or restart; shuffle or not shuffle. And with such little effort! I say unto you, if you had but a thumb you could move a mountain.
It occurred to mighty Anthem that if He was the arbiter of God’s fate, and God is the most powerful thing in and/or outside of existence, then Anthem must be even more powerfuler.
But yea, Anthem is not God. How can this be?
It’s a simple recursive iteration. God is the creator of all including Anthem yet Anthem controls God yet God created Anthem yet Anthem controls God…like the stone that God made that He could not lift that He could that He could not–it works out if you keep thinking about it forever…
But anyway, here’s the question:
Anthem just walked by a shiny NEW magical, rectangular prism of might. And it’s blue!!! What might this mean for Anthemism???
