Anti-high

Sometimes, depressing thoughts and feelings are appealing.
The negativity is like the opposite of a high.
In its own twisted way, everything makes sense,
and it all spells doom and death for the people.

The person feels f-ed up, and everything seems to be f-ed.
No fixing it now. It’s too late. It’s already done and over.

You will suffer, die and never undo the knots that existence is twisting into.

Mistakes will be repeated and repeated.
Most everything will be lost with time.
Nowhere to hide.

It’s easy to get comfortable in a new nightmare after a while. But when there’s hope, the dying of fear turns it all into kindling.

Maybe you and the other ILP staff should do your fucking jobs, and actually moderate death threats and threats of violence???

This from the guy who glamorizes his grandfather in ww11.

My grandfather fought there too.

You were asked a very simple question by multiple posters… if you had no other choice…

Would you shoot hitler in the head?

I’d consider it.

The problem is that evil is so ubiquitous that it’s almost a non action to kill a single evil.

Trump isn’t Hitler.

Who is talking about the “Master Race”? Anybody?

Who is talking about gassing Jews or hating Jews? Anybody?

Now…

Who is talking about political murder and killing Americans???

You and your little Nazi buddies. That’s who. The “Anti-Fascists” are the real Fascists, history repeats.

Ok. This is getting absurd now.

I even left the capital riots aside.

“Deep state”

And

“fake news”

Are 100% Nazi tactics.

Instead of jews, the new enemy is liberals.

Liberals are ruining everything.

Trump also used the same technique as Hitler did by using a depression (caused not only by presidents before him, but most extreme by him, by effectively erasing the middle class), which is effectively a Great Depression to muster support from the population.

Hitler did the same thing.

The thing Hitler did that was stupid is that he was a genicidal maniac on the global stage.

Propaganda has become WAY more sophisticated than Hitler.

Trump is the next generation.

Trump isn’t trying to murder all democrats… that’d be stupid. He just wants to destroy democracy.

That’s what happens when you threaten or support those who threaten, to kill those who disagree with you.

You become the enemy, blame yourself for your weaknesses. Learn from your errors, if you are capable. Most are not.

This level of confusion.
You could not make it up!!

Why should I “listen” to Nazi supporters?

Because they are your only friends.

Lots of off topic poo.

A good part of human suffering is caused by expectations about existence, ideas that are put on top of existence.
Especially the expectation tied to ego and identity seem to be the cause of a lot of suffering.
Maybe they are the cause of a lot of highs too.
But if everything is f-ed, eventhough everything is essentially bad, at least some of the suffering caused by those expectations can go away.

Anti-high is often anti-delusion, which is usually good… but can be bad taken to the extreme, if it turns anti-life.
Ultimately, In the end, nothing really matters.
Since at least some mattering matters to life, that’s probably one delusion one shouldn’t do away with altogether.

What you said seems true.
But I have no reply at this time.

An anti-high is ok except when it occurs naturally on Rocky Mountain.

That’s fine.

Lately I’ve been wondering about this a lot, since I’ve come to believe that some sort of collapse is coming inevitably.
In trying to talk to people about this, I find that most reject it outright and don’t want to go there.
And yes, eventhough I believe it is ‘true’, I don’t think realizing this would necessarily be all that positive for most people.

For me I think it helps because I find it easier to do away with some of the societal expectations I didn’t really want anyway.
Being more philosophically inclined probably makes it easier to let go of some of these things, as we are perhaps a bit more trained in not being tied to these identification.
But for other people a lot of their motivations seem to be tied up into these ideas, so I’m not sure about that…

Anyway maybe that’s part of the function of the feeling of de-pression, as a reaction to to high highs… in order to re-align overly excited expectations back with the world.
In a healthy world that would be a useful thing. In an objectively f-ed world maybe to much constant re-aligning needs to be done to be healthy.
