I like it a lot.
At Wrestlemania Donald Trump shaved Vince McMahon’s head.

It’s a parallel to how politics in America work.
2 sides, we pretend to choose one. Really… we all know it’s a big joke run for profits.
I think its a silly consumer gimmick. It goes to show just how stupid entertainment can be and more so how stupid the people who buy it can be.
On top of this, it is responsible for false bravado in the attitudes of those who idolize the wrestlers. Every red-neck and his brother has a Rick Flare T-shirt and probably shoots his dog with a BB gun for the hell of it, or simulates the fights and breaks his arm or something trying to jump off the roof with a DDT bone-crusher. It is a symbol of masculinity, but it isn’t real, and the viewers know that. So what’s the deal then? Why do you watch it? Its funny. No, its stupid. Is there a corelation here: the majority of wrestling popularity is in the southeastern US, where the lowest SAT scores are in the world.
It is a cheap combination of symbolisms. Masculinity, comedy, drama, and violence. Its a male soap-opera that is so fake, it wouldn’t even work as a cheap movie. I fuckin hate it.
Yeah, I feel the need to restate my position somewhat more clearly. What I said above plus the following:
I really, really fucking hate it. I know grown, extremely intelligent guys who love this stuff. It boggles my mind.
I’d rather eat a bag of assholes than be subjected to it’s moronic drivel.
Although, that Carlito guy does sort of look like Anderson Varejao (NBA player for the Cav’s) so that’s sort of cool.
I enjoy wrestling.
I also like celebrity boxing. I liked when Joey Buttafuco and Tanya Harding boxed.
